Every beastman in the throne room reacted at the same time. Though they weren't scared of anyone except their Beast King, they couldn't help but wonder which bold kingdom dared to wage war against them.
On top of that, the Beast King had been applying an isolationist method to rule the kingdom. The Beast Kingdom had always been self-sufficient from the moment it was founded, so they had never actually crossed paths with other kingdoms except for a few merchants who came and went.
So, who dared to wage war against them?
"Could it be that the merchant who got killed last night was actually an envoy or some sort? Because the way he spoke didn't show the modesty of a merchant. He was more like a… nobleman from a human kingdom," Jeanne, the flying squirrel general, commented as she was the first one to talk to the 'merchant' from yesterday.
"But what is a nobleman doing trying to disguise himself as a merchant to enter our kingdom? We're not even interested in them!"
