Chapter 236 - End of the Hunter x Hunter Arc

"Truly tenacious! As expected of a collection of post-mortem Nen from thousands of Kakin royalty."

Looking at the now-shattered and tattered Urn, Allen couldn't help but sigh in admiration. This was the only object he had encountered since arriving in this world created by such a collective force, and it was undoubtedly the most powerful Nen construct in existence.

Clearly, the first King of Kakin intended for this Urn to protect his nation, ensuring his people would always have an exceptional leader. Regrettably, as time passed and Kakin grew more prosperous, it eventually devolved into a tool for naked ambition and greed. The royal family was no longer satisfied with ruling Kakin; they sought to rule the entire human world.

Unfortunately for them, they crossed paths with a man who refused to play by the rules, leading to their ultimate downfall.

Just as Allen hesitated, wondering if he should detonate another Poor Man's Rose, Vaelastrasz suddenly issued a warning: "Careful! That Urn is about to explode!"

"What do you mean?" Allen asked, his brow furrowing.

"It's the Nen! The moment it detonates, that wave of malicious Aura will target you as its final objective, because you destroyed the Kakin Royal Family's legacy!" Vaelastrasz replied without a second thought.

"Then devour and purify them! With this staggering amount of Nen, it will surely accelerate your final evolution."

"But without my protection, you will be directly exposed to the attack of those malicious thoughts."

"It doesn't matter! At worst, I'll be heavily injured. I won't die that easily. Compared to that, I'm more excited to see the power surge you'll bring once your final evolution is complete."

With that, Allen deactivated the Red Dragon's plate armor state, falling directly from the sky into the turbulent depths of the sea.

On the other side, the Urn seemed to sense his current defenseless state. With a resounding bang, it burst apart. Countless strands of deep-black, nauseating post-mortem Nen, resembling foul witchcraft, surged forward like a tidal wave.

Maintaining her form as a small, cartoonish red dragon, Vaelastrasz let out a roar and charged like an arrow released from a bow. She opened her maw to unleash scorching Dragon Breath, while simultaneously devouring the Nen like a gluttonous child, utilizing her unique Red Dragon physiology to convert it into her own power.

However, unlike before, no matter how much Nen she consumed, her body did not grow an inch. Instead, the scales on her surface began to turn transparent, resembling beautiful crystals that emitted a mesmerizing, radiant glow. It was clear that this crystallization was the result of storing a massive volume of Nen.

Yet, Vaelastrasz was still too small. She couldn't intercept all the malicious intent from the Urn. Eventually, a small portion bypassed her and streaked straight toward Allen, who was floating on the surface of the water.

Seeing this, Allen's expression shifted. He squeezed the last drops of potential from his cells, erupting with a burst of defensive Aura to envelope his body.

Even so, the malicious Nen slammed into him with brutal force. Within seconds, his defensive Aura was devoured. The malice eroded his skin, muscles, and internal organs with terrifying speed. The unbearable agony forced a scream from his throat.

The Health bar on his Hunter class interface plummeted to zero in an instant, and the system collapsed on the spot.

"Dammit! I knew this would happen!"

Having finished devouring most of the Nen in the air, Vaelastrasz immediately banked into a dive. She reconstructed the armor around him at top speed, continuously funneling her own Aura into his body to drive out the invading malice.

But achieving that was no easy feat! Allen had exhausted every ounce of his own Aura and possessed no internal defenses. Every attempt to purge the malice caused tears in his muscles and blood vessels. Vaelastrasz didn't dare use too much force; she could only focus on shielding his most vital organs, such as his brain and heart.

Fortunately, the regenerative abilities he had retained through countless fusions, supported by the dragon's Aura, continuously repaired the damaged parts of his body.

Just as Vaelastrasz prepared to spread her wings and drag her heavily injured master back to the Black Whale, a massive wave several meters high crashed down, slamming the dragon and man into the deep ocean.

They began to sink...

Sinking...

Further down...

In the final seconds before losing consciousness, Allen faintly saw a massive Dark Portal, resembling a game's login screen, appear before him. He was forcibly sucked in, and then everything went black.

Meanwhile, aboard the Black Whale, the two wolves Lupos and Lupos II seemed to sense something. They snapped their eyes open, staring out at the distant sea. Their bodies rapidly became transparent until they vanished completely before everyone's eyes.

Kite, the first to witness this, asked urgently, "What happened? Did something happen to Allen?"

"I don't know. This is the first time we've seen this," Bodoro replied, his expression grim.

"I hope nothing went wrong... otherwise, it will be major news for the entire world," Baise whispered, staring intently at the spot where the wolves had vanished.

After all, Allen was no longer just an ordinary Nen user; he was the mastermind behind the operation to eliminate the Kakin Royal Family. Even the V5 operation leader on board was waiting for his return to decide whether the ship should continue toward the New Continent or turn back immediately to deal with the fallout in Kakin.

In this vast, trackless sea, long-range communication devices had long since become useless. There was no way to contact the mainland in the center of Lake Mobius. Therefore, the supreme commander held immense power, one could even say he held the lives of the 200,000 people on board in his hands.

Ultimately, after waiting for several hours without word, the heads of the Hunter Association and V5 decided to turn back.

However, the moment they restarted the Black Whale's engines, every member of the Kakin bloodline held in custody suddenly dropped dead, including the infant 14th Prince. This sudden turn of events made everyone familiar with Nen realize that the Urn, which had been passed down for generations, had finally been destroyed.

Only with the total destruction of the Urn and the forced termination of the Succession Contest would the Princes, who had consumed the Seed from the Urn, die collectively.

As a result, the Kakin royal bloodline was reduced to only three illegitimate children captured by the Hunter Association. These individuals held zero influence in Kakin politics, and no one would ever push them toward the throne.

This marked the absolute end of the nation's feudal monarchy, which had lasted for thousands of years.

When the massive ferry returned to waters where communication was possible and reported the news to V5, Urban was overjoyed. He immediately launched a joint operation, exerting comprehensive pressure on a Kakin that had lost its supreme ruler.

In less than a month, the internal conflicts of the strongest nation in the human world exploded. Kakin rapidly splintered into over twenty smaller nations, forever losing the qualification to compete with V5.

The missing Allen was hailed by politicians and bureaucrats as a hero who fought against tyrannical autocracy. They even cast two massive statues of him, standing respectively in front of the V5 office building and the Hunter Association headquarters.

But they had no idea that Allen wasn't dead. Instead, he had passed through the Dark Portal into another world, a cruel world overflowing with conspiracy, war, slaughter, and betrayal...
