The moment Breaking Sky appeared, the audience didn't show fear; instead, they focused intently on the young figure standing at the bow.
"Yes! Golden City has double the celebration today!" the purple-haired singer announced.
Her words ignited thunderous cheers from the crowd.
Spinning and pointing at Breaking Sky, she continued, "First, Godslayer Rolan will join the next performance!"
"Oh!"
"Rolan! Rolan!"
"Godslayer Rolan!"
The crowd erupted, chanting Rolan's name like a superstar. Even the strongest man in the world was being celebrated as if he were a celebrity.
"And one more announcement!" the singer said. "Our star performer, Mr. Gild Tesoro, will perform his legendary hit next!"
"Oh!"
"Tesoro! Tesoro! Tesoro!"
The audience's roar grew even louder, eclipsing the earlier cheers.
Robin chuckled softly. "Looks like someone's popularity doesn't quite match Tesoro's."
Rolan shook his head, expression indifferent. "Do I look like I care about fame?"
Hancock, however, pouted in irritation. "How dare they scheme against my husband. Unforgivable."
Rolan gently rubbed her head, smirking faintly. "Relax. Golden City is ours now."
At that moment, a massive pirate ship emerged from another entrance onto the stage.
"That's… the Hi-Up Pirates!"
"Captain Microphone is a Great Pirate with a bounty of 400 million berries!"
"This is going to be quite the show."
The audience buzzed with excitement, clearly anticipating a clash between Rolan's crew and the Hi-Up Pirates. It was evident from their tone and gleam in their eyes that pirate battles as entertainment weren't unusual here.
"Rolan! Return my goddess!" shouted a bearded, 1.2-meter-tall man standing at the bow of the Hi-Up ship.
This was no doubt the captain of the Hi-Up Pirates, Microphone, furious at seeing Rolan casually pat Hancock's head. Hancock was his goddess and the reason he went to sea. Ever since learning she was with Rolan, Microphone had vowed to make him his eternal enemy.
Rolan frowned slightly. "Goddess? Excuse me, old brother, who is your goddess again?"
Microphone's gaze softened as he looked at Hancock. "Han… Hancock-sama! I love you!"
Instantly, murmurs and protests erupted from the audience. Many considered Hancock their goddess too.
"Microphone! Take down Rolan! Hancock belongs to everyone, not just him!"
"Hancock is mine! Microphone, defeat Rolan!"
"Robin is mine! Robin, help me!"
"Nami is my goddess! Microphone, deal with Rolan; Hancock is yours, Nami is mine!"
"Then Lina is mine!"
The audience's cries of ownership flooded the air, all condemning Rolan.
Rolan's lips curved faintly as he looked at the women. "Seems I've delayed your pursuit of happiness."
Robin chuckled. "Exactly. If you don't treat us better, others might snatch us away."
Except for Hancock, the women's expressions were amused, and even Vivi displayed a faint hint of tsundere.
Microphone watched Rolan joking with the women, fury burning inside him.
"Damn it! How dare you joke with my goddess! I'll kill you!"
He lunged, pulling a black microphone from his embrace. "Evil Dragon's Roar!"
A powerful sound wave surged toward Breaking Sky, the audience gasping at its intensity.
Rolan's eyes gleamed. Rare, tangible attacks like this were always interesting.
"Wow! A sound wave attack!"
"An irresistible sound wave!"
"I heard a Great Pirate worth 360 million berries was destroyed by Microphone's roar!"
"Microphone's Sound-Sound Devil Fruit!"
"Take him down, Microphone!"
The audience erupted, cheering Microphone on.
Rolan, unmoved, lifted a hand and conjured an invisible Electromagnetic Barrier. The enormous sound wave collided with it, splashing harmlessly into the sea. Not a single hair on Rolan or his crew moved.
Microphone's eyes widened in shock. His attacks, previously infallible, were nullified effortlessly.
"Evil Dragon's Roar!"
The second wave of sound came, stronger and more furious than before.
Rolan extended his hand, activating his Electromagnetic Haki.
Microphone's body shot uncontrollably toward him. Despite struggling, he couldn't break free.
"Nani?!"
The Hi-Up Pirates froze, stunned. Their captain, a 400-million-berry Great Pirate, had never been overpowered like this.
The audience murmured in awe.
"What just happened?"
"Why is Microphone… losing control?"
"Is this Rolan's power? Terrifying!"
Microphone twisted in Rolan's grip, face contorted. "What sorcery is this? Put me down!"
Rolan ignored him, gradually tightening his hold.
"Lo… Lord Rolan, please… I won't fight for Hancock anymore!"
"Cough… cough… cough…"
"I can even give you my twenty-three wives!"
Hancock stepped forward, disdain dripping from her voice. "A tick like you belongs at the bottom of the sea."
In an instant, Microphone turned to stone.
Rolan increased the pressure, and the stone statue crumbled into dust, falling into the sea.
The Hi-Up Pirates, hearts still filled with adoration, also turned to stone.
The purple-haired singer clapped her hands, ecstatic. "This is art! Applaud, everyone!"
Thunderous applause erupted.
"Well done, Lord Rolan!"
"Only you deserve Lord Hancock!"
"Good kill! Such a lustful pirate deserves death!"
Rolan chuckled inwardly. These people were fickle—once Microphone was gone, their praise shifted immediately.
Nami, observing quietly, whispered, "I know that person…"
