At the top of Onigashima, Kaido slowly turned around and looked at the Straw Hat who had followed him. A trace of surprise flashed across his face.
"Did you come here just to die, Straw Hat?"
Luffy clasped his hands in front of his chest and stared straight at him.
"I came here to send you flying!"
Kaido let out a low laugh. In this world, only Rolan had the right to say something like that. No one else did.
Before Rolan appeared, Kaido had always been known as the strongest in one on one combat, the strongest creature on land, sea, and air. He was not someone a random brat could challenge.
"Wororororo, say your name. I do not kill nameless nobodies."
Luffy answered without hesitation.
"I am Monkey D. Luffy, the man who will become the Pirate King."
Kaido suddenly burst out laughing as if he had just heard the funniest joke in the world.
"Wororororo, what did I just hear? What did you say you want to become?"
Luffy repeated himself without changing his expression.
"I am the man who will become the Pirate King."
Kaido looked at him like he was looking at a child.
"Pirate King? Do you even know what that means? That is not some childish dream."
Luffy frowned slightly but still spoke clearly.
"The Pirate King is the Pirate King, and the Pirate King is the freest person in the world."
Kaido raised an eyebrow. He did not expect those words to come out of Luffy's mouth. That way of thinking was something he had never heard before.
He stayed silent for a few seconds, then started laughing again.
"The freest person? There is no such thing as freedom in this world."
Luffy had no interest in arguing with him.
In the next moment, he appeared right in front of Kaido using Soru.
He raised his fist and punched Kaido directly in the face.
Bang!
Kaido was sent flying backward by the force and blood spilled from the corner of his mouth as he crashed into a small stone mountain before finally stopping.
He stood up slowly and wiped the blood away while staring at Luffy.
A hint of surprise appeared in his eyes. He had clearly felt Conqueror's Haki in that punch.
There were not many people in the world who possessed Conqueror's Haki, and even fewer who could coat their attacks with it. He never expected someone like Luffy to be able to use such power.
At that moment, the contempt in his heart completely disappeared.
"Are you like them?"
Several figures flashed through his mind at the same time. Rocks, Garp, Sengoku, Whitebeard, Roger, Shanks, Big Mom, and Rolan.
He suddenly laughed loudly again.
"You want to fight me to the death with strength like this? A brat who just left his village?"
Luffy clicked his tongue in annoyance.
"You talk too much."
He stomped on the ground and shot forward like an arrow.
Kaido's eyes lit up when he saw the young figure rushing toward him.
"Wororororo, then show me what you are really capable of!"
He tightened his grip on his club and immediately coated it with Conqueror's Haki.
"Thunder Bagua!"
The club wrapped in black lightning swung down at incredible speed.
Luffy did not retreat. He coated his fist with Conqueror's Haki and punched forward.
Their attacks collided in mid air.
Bang!
Purple black lightning exploded in every direction and a violent shockwave spread across the entire dome. The ground began to crack and huge chunks of stone were sent flying into the sky.
Even the clouds above Onigashima were split apart by the force of their clash.
The impact spread throughout the entire island.
In a dark corner of Onigashima, a pair of eyes suddenly opened.
"So you finally came, Ace..."
Back on the dome, both Luffy and Kaido stepped back at the same time after their clash.
On the surface, it looked like they were evenly matched.
However, Kaido's breathing remained steady and his expression did not change at all.
Luffy, on the other hand, was already breathing heavily.
"He really is strong," Luffy muttered, but a grin slowly appeared on his face. "But I am not losing."
"Wororororo, Straw Hat, you really are Rolan's disciple. But how many attacks can you block?"
Kaido stepped forward again and rushed straight at Luffy.
"Thunder Bagua!"
The club covered in Conqueror's Haki smashed toward Luffy once more.
Luffy raised his fist and met the attack head on again.
Bang!
The entire dome shook as the shockwaves from their collision kept tearing the ground apart.
Bang!
Bang!
Bang!
The two of them exchanged blow after blow, their Conqueror's Haki clashing repeatedly in the air.
After the next collision, Luffy was sent flying backward nearly two hundred meters before crashing into a stone mountain.
Kaido only stepped back a dozen steps.
Luffy slowly stood up while panting heavily. Blood was already running down the side of his face, but there was no fear in his eyes, only excitement.
"As expected of a Yonko... you are really strong."
Kaido laughed loudly.
"Wororororo, a brat at your level still dreams of defeating me? How naive. I thought you would give me some excitement, but you are nothing special."
At the beginning of the fight, he had felt a slight sense of being matched. He did not expect this young man to run out of strength so quickly.
He shook his head slightly.
"This ends here."
He suddenly rushed forward again and appeared in front of Luffy in an instant.
Kaido raised his club high above his head with both hands.
"Descent of the Three Worlds, Ragnarok!"
The club wrapped in terrifying lightning smashed down toward Luffy's head.
Luffy had already seen this attack coming with his Observation Haki, but his exhausted body could no longer move in time.
"Shit..."
The club struck his forehead directly.
Bang!
The impact slammed Luffy straight into the ground and the already shattered battlefield collapsed even further. Red lightning spread across the ground and deep cracks appeared everywhere.
The entire scene looked like the end of the world.
"Damn it..."
Luffy muttered weakly as his vision slowly went dark.
Kaido stood nearby, breathing heavily as he looked down at the unconscious Luffy.
"What a pity. If you had more time to grow, your future might not have been weaker than ours."
He clicked his tongue in annoyance.
"Rolan overestimated you. Letting you fight someone at this level this early was a mistake."
Just as he finished speaking, a figure suddenly appeared on top of the dome.
