Chapter 372 - 372: Mechanical Sea Beast

"Hey, Rolan, do you even know where Egghead Island is?"

Emporio Ivankov's grumbling voice came from the bow of the ship.

He could clearly feel how fast the ship was moving. It cut across the sea at a terrifying speed, faster than even the fastest news coo. Yet despite that, they still hadn't reached Egghead Island.

It made him start to wonder if Rolan even knew where he was going.

Hearing the complaint, Rolan rose to his feet and lifted his arm, glancing at the special pointer on his wrist.

"We're close."

After saying that, he walked toward the front of the ship without another word.

Trafalgar D. Water Law followed behind him, his gaze steady.

At Rolan's control, the ship gradually slowed and descended until it hovered just above the surface of the sea.

The environment around them had already changed.

The sky was dark and heavy. Massive chunks of ice and snow fell from above, while waves hundreds of meters high surged across the ocean.

In comparison, their ship looked insignificant, like it could be swallowed at any moment.

Rolan raised his hand and formed an electromagnetic barrier around the ship, stabilizing it against the violent sea.

Then, his Observation Haki expanded outward.

His "Super Heart Net" spread across dozens of kilometers, sweeping through the surrounding waters.

In an instant, he located a region where the magnetic field behaved abnormally.

That was Egghead Island.

A faint change appeared in his expression.

Ivankov immediately noticed it and grabbed his shoulder.

"What is it? Did you find it?"

Rolan nodded once.

Ivankov's eyes lit up.

"Then what are we waiting for? Let's go!"

But Rolan lifted a hand, stopping him.

"Wait. We have company."

Law's hand immediately tightened around Kikoku.

Even though he hadn't sensed anything yet, he trusted Rolan's instincts completely.

Within moments, his Observation Haki picked up a presence.

A massive one.

"They're here."

Ivankov looked between the two of them, confused. He jumped slightly in place, scanning the surroundings.

"What are you talking about? I don't see anything."

He activated his own Observation Haki, but found nothing.

The gap between them was obvious.

Then, something shifted beneath the ship.

A massive shadow moved under the surface of the sea.

Ivankov's expression froze.

"W-what is that?"

Before he could finish speaking, the shadow rose closer.

Its shape became clear.

A gigantic shark.

"A Giant Sea King?" Ivankov's eyes widened in disbelief.

The size alone was absurd.

Their ship wouldn't even match a single tooth in its mouth.

Judging by its proportions, the creature had to be over six thousand meters long.

Even among Sea Kings, that was monstrous.

The shark burst out of the water at extreme speed, its enormous jaws opening wide as it lunged toward the ship.

"Ah! We're dead! We're dead!"

Ivankov shouted, covering his face.

Then, he suddenly moved.

"Hell Wink!"

A powerful pink shockwave shot from his eye, slamming directly into the giant shark.

Boom!

An explosion erupted on its head, smoke instantly spreading and covering its massive body.

Ivankov flipped backward and landed on the deck.

"We're not dying, heh ha..."

Before he could finish, Law drew Kikoku.

"That didn't do much."

As the smoke began to clear, the shark's massive mouth emerged again.

There were no visible injuries.

It moved without pause.

Its gigantic mechanical tail churned through the sea, creating a violent whirlpool.

Then it lunged again, metal fangs gleaming coldly as it aimed straight for the ship.

Ivankov's expression hardened as he jumped forward.

"You won't get away with this!"

Before he could attack again, the ship suddenly shot upward.

Rolan had already moved.

Crunch!

The shark's jaws snapped shut where the ship had been.

The collision of its metal teeth created sparks that lit up the dark sky.

The shockwave from the impact spread across the sea.

Even though the attack missed, the creature continued rising.

Only then did they see it clearly.

It wasn't a normal Sea King.

Its entire body was covered in metallic plating. Its tail was composed of mechanical joints, moving with unnatural precision.

Ivankov stared in shock.

"This isn't a real shark… it's mechanical. Could it be something built by Vegapunk? It's way too big."

Rolan observed it silently.

Even for him, the scale of it was impressive.

Whether in this world or the one he came from, something of this size would be considered a true giant.

He already knew the answer.

This was one of Vegapunk's creations.

The world often claimed that Vegapunk's technology was centuries ahead of its time.

Looking at this, that claim didn't seem exaggerated.

And yet, even this level of advancement couldn't compare to the lost technology of the ancient kingdom.

A civilization powerful enough to shake the world… and still fall.

That alone said enough about the strength of the World Government.

Rolan's gaze sharpened slightly.

If Vegapunk could create something like this, then the World Government likely had more.

Far more.

This single mechanical sea beast already possessed strength comparable to a lower Admiral level fighter.

And that was just one.
