Chapter 815 - It’s Hilarious, Has Anyone Ever Told You How Pretentious You Are?

Chapter 815: It's Hilarious, Has Anyone Ever Told You How Pretentious You Are?

"By the way," Shen Anyu began, his voice laced with a peculiar tone as he activated the Seeking Person Compass, "I asked you to get something personal of Murong Jieyu's. Why did you bring me a pair of black stockings?"

The Seeking Person Compass was a treasure he had acquired from the Son of Destiny, Ren Zhacheng, via the Goddess Future Diary System. As long as one possessed a personal item belonging to the target, the compass could locate them. It was an exceptionally useful artifact.

He pinched the delicate fabric between two fingers. It was smooth, silky, and cool to the touch. On a whim, he brought the stocking closer to his nose and took a light sniff.

Rest assured, Young Master Shen had no particular fetish; he was merely curious. Would a Goddess Doctor as refined and graceful as Murong Jieyu, a woman often compared to a celestial fairy, really wear such form-fitting black stockings? Her legs were indeed remarkably long, second only to Chen Yuhua's impressive 1.3-meter limbs, but there was no strange odor, only a faint, clean scent.

Could it be that Murong Jieyu was not quite the picture of gentle elegance she presented to the world?

Just then, he caught Liu Ruyan's pointed, knowing gaze. Without a hint of a blush, Shen Anyu's expression shifted instantly. He placed the stocking on the surface of the Seeking Person Compass with a look of mild distaste.

"My compass is probably dirty now."

"Oh? I thought for a moment you were about to do something unspeakable with Third Senior Sister's personal belongings," Liu Ruyan purred, rolling her eyes dramatically. Her face, however, was a mask of pure innocence, though the mischievous glint in her eyes betrayed her playful intent.

She was clearly aiming for a bit of payback for the pressure he'd put on her earlier, a small, deliberate prank. She especially recalled how she had hooked her arm around his neck that morning, demanding a kiss, only for him to refuse. Liu Ruyan let out a small, internal huff.

'It's hilarious. So he doesn't want to kiss, fine. He doesn't really think I was desperate for his kiss, does he? Honestly, has anyone ever told you how pretentious you can be?'

"Brother Shen, can this compass really find Third Senior Sister?" Zhong Lingyin asked, her attention fixed on the device in Shen Anyu's palm. It was an ancient-looking black wooden compass, no bigger than her hand, its surface mottled with age. It looked utterly unremarkable. Could it truly pinpoint Murong Jieyu's location somewhere in the vast, deep expanse of the Qinling Mountains?

If anyone else had produced such an item, Zhong Lingyin would have been deeply skeptical. But this was her man; she trusted him implicitly in all things. Still, her curiosity about how the artifact worked was evident.

Hearing this, Liu Ruyan ceased her flirtatious bickering with Shen Anyu, her ears perking up with interest.

"This treasure is called the Seeking Person Compass," Shen Anyu explained casually, seeing no need for secrecy with his women. "As long as you have a personal item, you can find its owner. It's quite effective."

"What a magical treasure!" Zhong Lingyin's red lips parted slightly, her starry eyes widening in surprise as she stared at the compass. She hailed from a wealthy family and had become a global superstar; she considered herself well-traveled and knowledgeable. Yet, she had not only never seen such a treasure, she had never even heard of one.

Even Liu Ruyan sighed inwardly. 'That's a truly incredible tool. It makes finding someone almost too simple.'

"Brother Shen, how do you use it?" Zhong Lingyin asked immediately.

"It's very simple. You just place the personal item on it and activate it." Shen Anyu smiled. He laid Murong Jieyu's black stocking flat on the Seeking Person Compass and infused it with a stream of his spiritual power. The compass began to hum and vibrate. The needle on its face spun wildly for a moment before locking firmly, pointing directly northwest.

"Let's go. That way." Shen Anyu gave the compass a light toss, and it floated in the air before him, held aloft by his telekinesis. He wrapped his left arm securely around Zhong Lingyin's slender waist, then, with his right hand, he pinched the nape of Liu Ruyan's neck and shot off toward the northwest.

"Are you carrying a dog?!" Liu Ruyan shrieked, mortified. To be grabbed by the scruff of her neck like a misbehaving puppy was infuriating and embarrassing, but she was powerless against this unrestrained scoundrel of a man.

Faced with Shen Anyu's handsome, smiling face, Liu Ruyan let out a light huff. In the next instant, her entire demeanor shifted. Her foxy eyes, shimmering like autumn pools, gazed at him with deep affection. Her rosy lips parted slightly, revealing a hint of pearly white teeth.

"Husband… my dear, good husband… hold me properly, won't you?"

Her already sweet voice was drawn out, becoming impossibly soft and seductive, a sound so saccharine it could melt a man's bones.

Forget men; even Zhong Lingyin, held close by, felt a shiver run through her delicate body. She glanced at the alluring and bewitching Liu Ruyan and thought to herself, 'Fourth Senior Sister is truly a fox spirit reincarnated. When she decides to act spoiled, no man alive could possibly resist her.'

"Oh? And here I thought you were disgusted by being close to me," Shen Anyu teased, a half-smile playing on his lips.

"My good husband, I know I was wrong. I shouldn't have been so jealous," Liu Ruyan cooed, her expression growing even more charming and gentle. Her soft, fair hands began to gently caress Shen Anyu's shoulders.

Knowing when to stop, Shen Anyu didn't tease her further. He released her neck and wrapped his arm around her slender waist as well, pulling her close as they sped toward the northwest.

He knew perfectly well that Liu Ruyan's tantrum was born of jealousy. He had given the hundred-year zhu fruit to Zhong Lingyin, but not to her. However, his policy was firm: his women could only have what he chose to give them; they could not demand what he did not offer. This vixen was no exception.

"If you behave, things like the hundred-year zhu fruit are a small matter. I have even better things for you," Shen Anyu said with a smile, leaning in to place a light peck on Liu Ruyan's pretty cheek.

"Really?" Liu Ruyan's charming eyes lit up instantly.

'Sister Ruyan is completely wrapped around Brother Shen's little finger,' Zhong Lingyin observed from his left side, a mischievous look in her eyes. 'She talks about becoming a queen, but she just doesn't have it in her! The only way Sister Ruyan could ever truly control Brother Shen is by defeating him in… that particular battle. But Brother Shen is just too strong, and Sister Ruyan, for all her wiles, is both naughty and loves to play around too much.'

Meanwhile, on the other side of the mountains, deep within a valley in the Qinling range, the landscape was shrouded in a thick, white mist. Visibility was reduced to less than half a meter, the rolling banks of fog like a celestial river pouring down from the heavens.

Just outside the valley's entrance, dozens of burly men sat around a crackling bonfire.

If Qin Erhu from the Qin Family Village were still alive, the sight of these men would have made him tremble in his boots. These were members of the infamous Tieshan Martial Arts School, a notorious organization based near the Qinling Mountains.

The Tieshan Martial Arts School was a colossal enterprise, with several hundred chain schools spread across the country and even overseas, making it one of the largest martial arts institutions in the world. Every branch was overseen by an Innate Realm master, while more important locations were guarded by a Martial Arts Grandmaster. Rumor had it that the headmaster himself, who had been abroad for years, was a formidable Martial Dao Grandmaster, a man with genuine hopes of breaking through to the legendary Human-Celestial realm.

Qin Erhu had once studied at a Tieshan school and knew firsthand that the organization had deep connections in both legitimate and illegitimate circles. Their background was powerful, their strength was immense, and their methods were utterly ruthless. Anyone who dared to offend the Tieshan Martial Arts School would die without ever knowing what hit them.

And these men gathered here were no mere disciples. They were, at the very least, at the level of a school master, with several among them being Martial Arts Grandmasters. The old man in the Tang suit leading them was none other than Tieshan, the headmaster himself—a Grandmaster of terrifying power.

To see nearly all of the Tieshan Martial Arts School's elite leadership dispatched to the depths of the Qinling Mountains was an extraordinary sight. Anyone witnessing this would know that some great secret, perhaps a priceless treasure or an ultimate artifact, was at stake.

Staring at the glistening, roasted pheasant turning over the fire, Tieshan's expression was thunderous.

"Have you found that little bitch yet?" he growled.

"Headmaster, not yet," a burly man replied, his voice trembling.

"Useless!" Tieshan's cold gaze swept over the assembled men, and a heavy silence fell upon the camp. "If you ruin my important plans, I will not let any of you off lightly!"

Tieshan himself was gripped by a gnawing anxiety. Where in the world had that injured woman disappeared to?
