The winter months brought a different pace to Aria's life. With continental travel impossible through the heavy snows, she settled fully into Moonvalley's rhythms. The work did not stop, but it transformed into something more intimate and locally focused.
The training center operated with reduced numbers. Only students who had arrived before the passes closed remained, creating a smaller, more intensive learning environment. Aria used the opportunity to deepen their instruction in ways the larger groups made difficult.
"This winter, we focus on nuance," she told the eight remaining students during their first session after the snows began. "Not new techniques, but refinement of what you already know. The subtle differences between adequate practice and excellent practice."
