Chapter 146 – Solving The Drought Problem

When I asked the system, it began to show me the various skills and items that fulfill my requirements. I also began to scroll down to select the best thing.

Rainmaker Jutsu Scroll from the Naruto Anime: A scroll containing a large-scale water technique. One-time use item.

The host needs to channel Haki and activate the scroll. Clouds will gather over 20 square kilometers. Steady rainfall will nourish the land for several hours, perfect for drought recovery. It lasts for 20 days.

Cost: 20000 lust energy points.

Storm Generator (Capsule Tech Style) from the world of Dragon Ball Z: An advanced technology. One-time use item.

A portable weather-control device stored in capsule form. Throw the capsule into the field, and it expands into a weather machine. The machine releases moisture particles into the sky, forming rain clouds. Rainfall covers 7 square kilometers and lasts for 10 days. It provides very scientific and controlled rainfall.

Cost: 20000 lust energy points.

Weather Wizard Staff from the world of Avatar: The Last Airbender: One-time use item.

A staff that controls air and water elements. The wielder spins the staff to draw moisture from rivers or lakes, forming clouds naturally. Gentle rainfall spreads evenly across 10 square kilometers. It can be used with both Haki and electricity. It lasts for 18 days.

Cost: 22000 lust energy points.

Hydro Convergence [Skill]

The user pulls water vapor from the atmosphere and condenses it into rain clouds. Raise hands toward the sky, and moisture gathers rapidly. Small rain falls precisely over the selected area. The more Haki and stamina used, the more water can be produced.

Cost: 20000 lust energy points.

Monsoon Dominion [Skill]

The user can control over regional weather patterns. The user summons wind currents, and pressure shifts create storm clouds. Long-lasting rainfall suitable for large agricultural zones. It takes a lot of time to control the weather, depending on existing patterns and the use of Haki and stamina.

Cost: 20000 lust energy points.

Dance of the Rain [Skill]

The user must dance naked in front of the public for two hours. After that, rain will continuously fall for 2 days. Can be also used in battle, as the user can even control the lighting after some time.

Cost: 1000 lust energy points. [99% discount]

There were various items and skills I could use to practically solve Alabasta's drought problem.

Alabasta was such a vast kingdom that one-time use items wouldn't suffice. I need to travel to various cities to call rainfall repeatedly. So, reusable skills were exactly what I needed. Plus, using skills would let me gain practical new abilities.

Among the many options, some were too expensive, others were one-time use or useless after a while. I ignored Dance of the Rain skill even though it was cheap.

'Who in their right mind would dance naked for two hours? Well, maybe that cuck Kozuki Oden…'

There were only two skills that caught my eye. They were Hydro Convergence and Monsoon Dominion. Both allowed me to control the weather to some extent.

I was thrilled at first because in the entire One Piece world, whoever controls the weather controls the flow of ships. After all, even Shiki, who was as strong as Pirate King Roger, fell victim to bad weather. He lost his entire pirate crew to the storm and ended up with his head stuck in a steering wheel.

But my excitement faded quickly. To truly control the weather, it required immense time, stamina, and Haki.

By the time I could summon something effective, enemies could have killed me over a hundred times. It was fine for minor weather tweaks or as reference material for upgrading Clima-Tact, but useless in combat.

So, thinking for some time, I bought Hydro Convergence first. It would let me control water to some degree. Although it was useless in battle, I could at least provide fresh water over the sea. Moreover, it was cheap.

[Ding! Host, do you want to buy the skill Hydro Convergence? Cost: 20000 Lust Energy Points?]

"Yes."

When I agreed, 10,000 lust energy points were deducted. A second later, a flood of knowledge about the skill ingrained itself in my mind. My body instinctively knew how to use it now.

But I didn't let Queen Titi or Vivi know what had happened. I just kept walking with them as if nothing had changed. After a few more minutes, we arrived outside the royal palace.

The sun had just begun to set, casting an orange glow across the endless sands of Alabasta. The light painted everything in warm hues, creating a scene of striking beauty, yet an undercurrent of hopelessness lingered because of the endless drought—no rain had fallen in far too long.

"Alex, are you sure you can make it rain?" Vivi asked softly. "It's okay if you can't perform a miracle."

"Yes, Alex," Queen Titi added gently. "It's better not to build hope only to have it shattered later."

Both of them stood beside me outside the palace. They were visibly anxious. They still couldn't fully believe I could summon rainfall in a place as parched as this desert kingdom.

"Then just wait for the miracle," I replied calmly. "It might take a little time, but be patient for a while."

I raised my hands toward the sky and activated Hydro Convergence. Slowly, moisture began to gather. Alabasta was a deep desert, so the air held very little water vapor. Still, bit by bit, I drew what was available from the atmosphere and condensed it into clouds.

Titi and Vivi started to notice the change. They glanced upward as more and more dark clouds formed overhead.

"Alex… you're really doing it," Vivi whispered in awe. "You're actually making it rain."

"Alex, you're truly a hero," Titi said, her voice trembling slightly. "You're going to save thousands of lives."

After a few minutes, a light drizzle began to fall. I poured a huge amount of Haki and stamina into the skill. I was really pushing harder. About twenty minutes of continuous effort later, the rain strengthened into a steady medium downpour.

The clouds kept expanding as I sustained the technique. The rainfall was still modest compared to what the kingdom desperately needed, but it now covered the entire city and beyond. People in the streets below started cheering, their voices rising in pure joy and disbelief.

"Yes! The goddess has finally blessed us with rain!"

"The gods haven't abandoned us after all! We can drink real water again!"

"Divine Goddess Angela, thank you for this water of life!"

"Thank you for this water of life!"

"Thank you for this water of life!"

The chants echoed across the city as the citizens thanked Goddess Angela with heartfelt gratitude, their faces lifted toward the sky.

I couldn't help but smirk inwardly. 'I wonder what their expressions would be if they knew I had already fucked their divine goddess like a cheap whore. That would be quite the sight.'

After a full hour of channeling the skill, I finally lowered my hands and stopped. The sky was already thick with rain clouds; I was confident the downpour would continue through the night and probably well into the next day.

My body felt heavy as I was drained from expending so much Haki and stamina all at once.

Vivi and Titi stood close on either side of me. They gazed at me with something close to worship in their eyes, as if I were a divine messenger sent by the goddess herself.

"Alex," Queen Titi said, her voice thick with emotion, "you've done what no one else could. You performed a true miracle. First you saved my daughter from those bounty hunters, then you rescued my kingdom from Crocodile, and now you're saving the lives of countless citizens. I don't even know how to thank you properly."

This time in her eyes there was a pure gratitude instead of the usual lust.

I thought for a moment, then let a slow smile spread across my face.

"How about marrying your daughter to me?"
