Chapter 168 – Going To The Osasis
[
[Scene Change]
We were all seated at the dining table in the kitchen while casually eating breakfast.
I was sitting beside the girls without any fuss and casually reached over to steal a piece of roast meat right from Robin's plate. She didn't mind at all—just gave me a small, knowing smile and kept eating.
I glanced at Queen Titi, who was still skimming through some official documents even here at the table. Her brow were slightly furrowed in concentration.
"So, Queen, when do we start the journey?"
Not all the girls were coming along. Vivi had an important meeting with Marine and World Government officials to attend. And other girls were just lazy to travel in the hot and dry climate of desert.
In the end, it would just be me and Queen Titi traveling from city to city to solve the drought problem.
"Son-in-law, I've already finished the most urgent work," Titi replied calmly, setting the papers aside. "We can leave right after breakfast. I've already instructed the maids to prepare our carriage."
"OK then."
While continuing to eat, I let my mind drift to the familiar chime of system notifications.

[Ding! Hidden Mission: …] [Completed]
Several normal missions and the two hidden ones had been cleared. Still, the total only added up to around 100,000 Lust Energy Points—not nearly enough to level up all at once or make any meaningful change to my attributes.
Leveling was starting to feel noticeably harder now, but I wasn't impatient. In fact, I felt motivated.
My mind was already racing with various kinky scenarios I could play out with the queen and the maids during our travels.
I pulled up my status panel in my mind and reviewed it quickly.

My eyes lingered on the newest skill: Hydro Convergence.
Hydro Convergence
Ability: The user pulls water vapor from the atmosphere and condenses it into rain clouds. Raise hands toward the sky. Moisture gathers rapidly. Rain falls precisely over selected area.
I considered upgrading it right then, but decided against wasting any more Lust Energy Points for now. Better to save them for something bigger later.
Breakfast continued in comfortable silence until a maid entered the room.
"Your Highness, Queen Titi. The royal carriage is ready for the journey."
Titi looked at me with a soft smile. "Son-in-law, let's go."
…
[Scene Change]
I glanced at Titi as we walked toward the carriages, my tone direct but teasing. "So, mother-in-law, where do you want to start? I suggest we begin with the villages struggling the most for water—or maybe an oasis on the verge of drying up completely. Reviving one of those could make a real impact."
Titi nodded thoughtfully. "Yes, I was thinking the same thing. In fact, I've already marked the cities and the route we'll take. I'll just hand the plan to the lady carriage driver."
"Good. Let's not waste time," I replied. I also wanted to go as soon as possible.
We approached the convoy. There were three carriages in total: the front one carried maids ready to serve us during the trip, the rear (and largest) one held supplies and carriers for our estimated two-day journey, and the middle carriage—the most luxurious—was reserved exclusively for me and the queen. It featured its own comfortable sofa that converted into a bed.
It was unusual for a son-in-law and mother-in-law to share the same private carriage and sleep together in it, but the maids didn't question a thing. They treated it as completely normal.
Without delay, we climbed inside, and the carriage began rolling forward. Within minutes, the capital city faded behind us.
The vast desert stretched endlessly ahead, but our pace never slowed. We passed through small villages and towns here and there, drawing curious stares from the locals who recognized the royal insignia.
After nearly three hours of steady travel in sandy road—with only one short rest stop—we finally arrived at the first village.
…
…
[Scene Change]
The village chief—an elderly man in his fifties with weathered skin and a simple robe—stepped forward to greet us warmly. A small group of villagers gathered behind him, their faces lighting up with recognition the moment they saw Queen Titi.
"Your Majesty, Queen Titi," the chief said while bowing deeply with genuine respect. It was normal for him to treat royalty like this. After all in the world of one piece noble status was treated differently.
We dismounted from the carriage gracefully, accepting the villagers' warm welcome. Titi moved forward first, her posture regal yet approachable, her voice calm and reassuring as she addressed the crowd.
"This is Hero Alex," she announced clearly, gesturing toward me. "The one who defeated the villain Crocodile and saved the Kingdom of Alabasta. He has come with me today to help resolve the severe water shortage and rejuvenate your drying oasis."
The moment the villagers heard that I was here specifically to solve the water problem, a wave of hope and excitement swept through them. Murmurs of gratitude and disbelief mixed together.
"Thank you, Hero Alex, for your help," the chief said again, bowing even lower this time. Despite his polite and formal words, I could see the flicker of doubt in his eyes—and it was mirrored on the faces of many villagers around him.
As the group began leading us toward the oasis, I caught the hushed whispers rippling through the crowd behind us.
"Do you really think he can solve the water problem?" one man muttered skeptically to his neighbor.
"I don't know," another replied quietly. "It would be a miracle if he could. Personally, I don't think it's possible. Defeating strong pirates is one thing—controlling the forces of nature is something else entirely. That would make him practically a god."
"But Queen Titi wouldn't lie," a woman protested softly. Several men nodded in agreement with her. In fact, the villagers still held a deep, almost blind faith in their queen—even if they weren't fully convinced about me yet.
Their quiet conversations reached my ears clearly, but I chose to ignore them for the moment. It was only natural to be skeptical.
After all, promising to end a drought meant claiming power over rain itself—the very forces of nature. To most people, that sounded impossible, like something only a god could do. And in fact, in the history, only God Nika was the one who could do that.
I didn't bother responding or trying to convince them right then. I knew the truth would speak for itself once I activated my skill. After that, doubt would turn into awe—and belief would follow naturally.
We continued walking toward the oasis in silence, the dry sand crunching under our feet, the hot desert wind stirring faint dust around us.
The once-vibrant body of water ahead had shrunk to little more than a muddy puddle, cracked earth spreading outward like open wounds.
The villagers watched me closely, waiting to see what this so-called hero could actually do.
