Doriki was CP9's internal numerical system for calculating combat ability.
Its values ranged from 10 to over 4000, dividing the navy into nine levels from ordinary soldiers to elite major generals.
An armed Marine soldier had a Doriki of 10.
The baseline value for an ordinary armed Marine soldier was 10, while an elite Major General level required Doriki exceeding 4000.
Fukuro's ability allowed him to perceive everyone's Doriki values very clearly.
Fukuro spoke:
"Doriki measurement! Kalifa, 630!"
Kalifa smiled slightly, unconcerned.
"Kaku, 2200!"
Fukuro continued counting.
Kaku shrugged, seemingly satisfied.
Fukuro pointed to himself: "Me, Fukuro, 850!"
"Kumadori, 900!"
"Jabra, 2300!"
"Lucci, 4000!"
Lucci glanced slightly upward at the three before him.
"Four thousand?!"
Jabra jumped up, pointing at Fukuro and shouting: "Hey, did you mess up?! How could this guy possibly have 4000 Doriki! I trained my ass off and only got 2300!"
Wasn't Lucci undercover?
When did he have time to train?
"Oh? This old man thought he'd surpassed you long ago." Kaku glanced at Jabra in surprise, his tone slightly teasing.
"Hmph, you're still far from it! And there's no way my Doriki is lower than yours!"
Jabra was also somewhat irritated by Kaku—a guy in his twenties—constantly referring to himself as "this old man." "How old are you? Stop calling yourself old man all the time, you'll actually become old!"
More importantly, don't make me old too.
Fukuro directly exposed the secret of why Jabra's Doriki had increased. He was a big mouth:
"Zabababa, it's because this guy Jabra insisted on competing with us to see who was stronger in the Six Styles. He dragged us into special training, so everyone's Doriki went up a bit. Otherwise, Kaku, you'd still be second! Zabababa."
"Didn't you just promise to keep it a secret, Fukuro?!" Jabra roared.
"Yoyoi! Long time no see, how shameful!"
Kumadori suddenly knelt, tears streaming down his face as he drew a short sword: "Leaving our posts without permission, we had no choice! Unable to face our comrades! Only seppuku can atone for this!"
With that, he stabbed the short sword toward his abdomen.
Then.
Tekkai: Gyoku!
Accompanied by the sharp clang of metal against a hard object, the blade was stopped by his taut abdominal muscles, unable to penetrate.
"Can't die, yoyoi!"
Kumadori looked regretful.
"HAHAHAHA!" Jabra responded with malicious amusement.
"Enough. The jokes end here."
Lucci interrupted their antics, asking seriously: "Aren't you three supposed to be on standby at Enies Lobby? Why are you here?"
"Blame that idiot sir Spandam."
Jabra dropped his smile, shrugging. "He insisted on sending us as reinforcements too, saying we needed to be absolutely sure. It's just Nico Robin. Why all this fuss?"
Fukuro looked around and asked: "Hey, where's Blueno? Didn't he come with you?"
Lucci closed his eyes again: "I sent him to warn Straw Hat and his crew. With his ability, he'll be back soon."
No sooner had he spoken than ripples spread without warning across the side wall of the car. A door was pushed open.
"He's back!"
Fukuro turned excitedly, ready to measure Blueno's Doriki.
But what came through the door was Blueno's extremely weak voice: "Lu... Lucci..."
The next moment, Blueno, covered in blood and barely conscious, stumbled through the door and collapsed heavily on the floor.
And behind Blueno, Luffy in his straw hat, along with Paulie barely standing, stepped calmly through the door!
Luffy pressed down on his straw hat brim, looking at the gradually disappearing door on the floor, and grinned: "This door-opening ability really is something."
Meanwhile, in the first car, Robin, who had been resting with her eyes closed, finally opened them.
"Hey, woman! Can you listen to me?!"
Franky, wrapped up tightly with only his blue pompadour visible, wriggled on the floor nearby like a caterpillar, his tone extremely agitated. "We're grasshoppers tied to the same string now! We have to cooperate to escape this place!"
Robin tilted her head slightly, elegantly crossing her legs. Her tone was calm, a meaningful glint in her eyes. "So, answer my question first. Then I'll consider letting you go."
"What question? Just ask!"
Franky urged. He felt like this woman's calmness was driving him crazy.
Did she know where this train was headed?
"CP9's target in Water 7 wasn't originally me. Tell me, why did they capture you?"
Robin's insight was remarkably sharp. From the fragmented comments and action priorities of Lucci and the others, she had already inferred that she wasn't CP9's only target in Water 7. She might not even be the primary one.
This cyborg before her must harbor some important secret.
Franky paused, then grew even more agitated: "How would I know why those black-suited freaks grabbed me! SUPER... I woke up and they were attacking me!"
"Is that so?"
Robin smiled lightly. The smile made Franky's hair stand on end. "If you insist on playing dumb, then we'll just have to be taken to Enies Lobby together. You know what that place is, don't you? Once you go in, it's hard to come out."
Franky looked at Robin, who had been sitting gracefully on the sofa since she arrived, not even a finger bound, while he was tied up like a human rice dumpling. This stark contrast in treatment made him feel extremely aggrieved.
Double standards!
This was blatant double standards!
"How come you get to sit while I'm tied up?!"
Robin ignored his complaints. Instead, she gazed toward the door connecting the cars, as if she could see through the iron plating to what lay behind. The smile on her face deepened, carrying a certain assured warmth: "Because my nakama have come to get me."
"Huh?"
Franky was stunned, thinking Robin was talking nonsense. "Are you kidding? We're on a high-speed moving Sea Train. Outside is nothing but ocean!"
"I'm not kidding at all."
Robin stood up, walked to the window, lifted a corner of the curtain, and gestured for Franky to look outside.
Franky craned his neck and looked through the window at the pitch-black night sky. Amidst the lightning and thunder, a pirate ship with a sheephead figurehead was cutting through the waves at an almost outrageous speed, closely pursuing the Sea Train. The hull was even shrouded in a faint greenish light—the power of wind propelling it.
"Is that a sailboat? How can it be that fast?"
Franky was dumbfounded. A sailboat matching the speed of a powerful Sea Train?
This defied all nautical common sense!
"Now will you tell me?" Robin returned to the sofa, looking at him calmly. "What did they capture you for?"
Franky looked at the ship relentlessly pursuing them outside the window, then at the unfathomable woman before him. He grit his teeth and finally relented:
"It's for a set of blueprints."
