"Luffy, what are you doing?! There are people here!"
Vivi's face flushed bright red instantly as she instinctively tried to step back.
Nami couldn't help but roll her eyes.
So you mean if no one's around, you can do that?
However, the next moment left them all stunned.
Luffy's hand passed right through Vivi's chest as if through empty air, meeting no resistance at all.
"Ah!"
Vivi and Nami exclaimed simultaneously.
"Luffy, your hand went into Vivi's body?"
Luffy's head tilted with a question mark.
Was that phrased correctly?
Nami's eyes widened in shock. Mimicking Luffy, she cautiously reached her hand towards Vivi's arm, and it too passed through without any hindrance.
A flicker of surprise crossed Robin's face, followed by realization. "Elemental intangibility... Could this be a Logia-type Devil Fruit?"
"Logia?!"
Nami and Vivi were both astounded.
They had personally witnessed the power of Logia-type Devil Fruits:
Crocodile's Suna Suna no Mi.
Smoker's Moku Moku no Mi.
Enel's Goro Goro no Mi.
"Yes, a Logia."
Luffy withdrew his hand, grinning as he instructed Vivi. "Try it. Try to control the new power inside you.
Don't be nervous; it's simple. Once you eat a Devil Fruit, its ability becomes a part of you.
There's an interesting theory that every Devil Fruit has its own will and autonomously chooses the most suitable host.
So, this Logia-type Fūfū no Mi is the ability most suited to you!"
"Fūfū no Mi?" Vivi murmured. She closed her eyes, focusing intently on sensing and communicating with that new, light, airy power within her.
Gradually, she felt her body becoming weightless. The air currents around her seemed to become extensions of her own limbs.
A gentle breeze rose, swirling around Vivi. Her feet slowly left the ground as she floated gracefully into the air.
Her blue hair and skirt swayed gently in the air, invisible currents swirling around her. In the cavern's faint light, she resembled a goddess of wind descended to the mortal realm.
"So amazing!" Nami looked up at the floating Vivi, her face full of envy.
The next second, Nami also felt a soft breeze lift her up, making her feet leave the ground involuntarily with a yelp.
"Don't be scared, Nami." Vivi's voice held a mix of excitement and inexperience. She reached out, took Nami's hand, and controlled the wind to hold both of them steady. "I think I can control the wind!"
"This ability is fantastic!" Nami, once she got used to floating, immediately thought of practical uses. "With your ability, Vivi, our ship won't have to fear storms at sea anymore. You can just change the wind direction!"
Vivi smiled sheepishly and tried manipulating the surrounding winds.
Soon, changes manifested. At times, a warm, balmy breeze blew through; other times, a cool, refreshing zephyr; then a frigid, cold gust; and finally, she even conjured a small, swirling tempest.
This is a Logia-type Devil Fruit?
"A Devil Fruit user's power isn't just about basic utilization. Developing various applications is crucial, and that depends largely on the user's imagination," Luffy commented like an experienced senior. "However, the strength of a user is also heavily tied to their own foundational power. Vivi, you'll need to continuously work on your physical stamina and Haki training from now on."
I'll drag Vivi along for training every morning.
"I think I know how we can get up there now. Everyone, relax. I'll take us up," Vivi said suddenly, struck by an idea. "We'll fly up."
"That's a great idea," Luffy laughed. "Let's try flying. I was originally thinking of using a Rocket to send you guys up."
"Why are your ideas always so dangerous," Nami said, exasperated.
Vivi began manipulating more powerful air currents, creating a steady updraft that lifted Luffy and the others, carrying them upward!
However, flying with so many people was clearly a huge drain. By the time the wind set everyone down steadily atop the giant beanstalk, above the cloud layer, Vivi was already panting heavily, her face pale, and she could barely stand.
"You pushed yourself too hard," Luffy said, then naturally bent down and hoisted Vivi onto his back.
Vivi's cheeks flushed slightly as she buried her face shyly against Luffy's broad back, muttering softly, "This is so embarrassing."
Is using a Devil Fruit power always this exhausting?
Why is Luffy like a perpetual motion machine?
It was nearly dusk. The fading sunlight, like golden gauze, draped over the ancient ruins.
Everyone looked up, their gazes drawn to the object gleaming brilliantly atop the giant beanstalk in the sunset's glow.
It was a massive, ancient bell tower!
A golden base, golden supports, and suspended from it, a massive golden bell dozens of meters tall!
Exquisite patterns, bearing both Sky Island and Shandia styles, were carved onto the great bell, with sculptures of South Birds adorning its surroundings. Four decorative golden pillars also stood around the bell tower, though one was broken and lay fallen on the ground.
Just that single broken golden pillar was about as long as the Going Merry's foremast.
"Gold! It's all gold!"
Nami's eyes had completely morphed into Beli symbols. Looking at the enormous golden bell, the golden pillars, the golden base, she felt she might faint from sheer happiness.
"There's too much! If we move all this onto the Merry, the ship will definitely sink! What do we do? What do we do?"
She never imagined she'd have a worry like this one day.
"A masterpiece of unparalleled craftsmanship. It holds great historical value," Robin said, reaching out to gently trace the patterns on the fallen golden pillar, a scholar's light shining in her eyes.
"This is the sound Little Sky wants to hear, right?" Luffy carefully set Vivi down, letting her rest against a rock. He then rubbed his hands together, eager and ready. "I'll ring it!"
Of course, he wanted to ring it.
Who could see such a magnificent bell before them and not feel the slightest urge?
Everyone was curious about how beautiful the Golden Bell's chime would sound.
According to Gan Fall, this great bell hadn't been rung for hundreds of years. Legend said its sound was exceptionally beautiful.
"But... there's no clapper?" Vivi looked inside the bell and asked, puzzled.
Gan Fall's gaze, however, fell on the thick golden chains on either side of the bell, connected to the golden frame above. "According to the ancient legend, one simply needs to pull on those two chains to make the clapper swing and ring the bell."
"I'll do it!" Luffy volunteered.
The two chains were thicker than his waist. With their slender arms, Nami and the others would be lucky to even move them, let alone ring the bell.
