(Ellion's POV)
]The Next Morning]
"Ser Ellion." I heard the King's voice as I was leaning on the balcony overlooking the training yard, "How was your time with Lady Selene?"
I looked at him, and he was wearing his usual royal garments. There was a slight smirk on his face, one that irritated me if I was to be honest.
"It was...." I said, "It was good"
"Hm." He said, "Nothing happened?"
I shook my head, "No." I said, "Why do you ask, Your Grace?"
"Hm....." He said as I looked back to the training yard, "I had a little disagreement with my wife, The Queen."
"I see." said
"Let's say that things got a bit tense." He said
I knew what he was referring to; he got in a verbal fight with Rhaella and he struck her. The mere thought of it angered me, but I couldn't show that.
"How tense?" I asked him
"Hm...." He said, "If you are to see her, you would know."
I looked at him, "You....." I said, "Did you harm Her Grace?"
He raised an eyebrow, "If I did?"
I looked away, "Hm...."
"Would that be a problem?" He asked me, "I am the King, I should-"
"All due respect, Your Grace, Queen Rhaella is your wife." I said, "You should treat her with respect. She has paved the way for the Targaryen Dynasty to continue forward, giving you a suitable heir in Rhaegar."
He looked at me with a surprised expression, as if he did not expect me to respond to him this way. I could see it in his eyes; he was processing what I had just said.
"Is that what you think, boy?" His expression hardened, "I can do whatever I please to my woman, she is my woman. I'll tell you one thing, Ser Ellion, you are here because of me. I will not allow you to disrespect me. You and I, we are the same, that is the only reason you are even here."
"I do not beat women, Your Grace." I said
He scoffed, "But you mercilessly cut men down, throwing their pieces into the blackwater." He said with a sadistic smile, "You fuck women without a care in the world, with no regard for their loved ones. Yet, you have lines you won't cross."
"I know what I am, Your Grace." I said, "I am not holy like the Septons, I am not as honorable as the Dragonknight was at one point in his life. But I'll tell you what else I am not; a woman-beater. I cannot agree with your actions, Your Grace. Do what you must with me after speaking my mind."
"Hm...." He said, "You are an ungrateful brat. I gave you pussy for you to fuck yet you refuse at first with Rhaella's servants. And now with this shit, you dare side with Rhaella."
"I am not siding against you." I said, "I simply don't agree with the beating of a woman, especially the Queen."
"I am the King." he said, "You will agree with what I tell you to agree!"
"I am afraid I cannot do-" I started
"I have another name." He cut me off, a frustrated look on his face, "Fleabottom, a man known as Karl."
"I see." I said
He stepped closer to me, "Do not come back until it is done." He said seriously, "And best bring me his head. Dispose of the rest of him however you please."
"What did he do?" I asked seriously
"It should be of no concern to you." He said, "But there is a word he killed the mother of a woman I was interested in years ago. She was a blacksmith's wife, the woman I wanted to fuck. Nearly did her, but Old Lyonel prevented it. I am still fond of her. Kill Karl and bring me his head."
"Do it."
*************
[Later That Night]
I was walking into my chambers, wiping my hands with a rag, a bit annoyed that I got some blood on my sleeves.
"What a drag." I muttered
"Ser Ellion." I heard a voice, catching me by surprise
I looked over to see Queen Rhaella sitting down in one of the chairs next to my bed, "Y-Your Grace?" I asked, "What are you doing here? Were you waiting for me? I-"
I noticed a bruise on her forehead and her lips were a bit swollen, which was quite noticeable. The mere sight of it took me by surprise, taking the words out of my mouth.
She stood up, holding something in her hands, "I was searching for you." She said softly, looking down at the object, "It is done."
I blinked, "Eh?"
She walked over to me and showed me my charm, which was connected to a silver band with some purple gems on it. She took my hand and placed it on my palm, her hands slightly shaking.
"Your Grace...." I said
"I suppose it does look quite pretty. The color scheme is a bit odd, but the more you look at it the better." She said with a sad smile, "My gift to you, Ser Ellion."
I looked at her, and she was trying to hold back tears. I saw one forming; it was frustrating to even look at.
"Why did he do this to you?" I asked, my expression hardening
"I told him to leave you be. To not force debauchery upon you." She whispered, "He did not agree. Aerys is....."
I held her hand, "Your Grace...." I said, "Y-You mustn't speak for me, please. It will only bring you more pain."
She shook her head, "I am fine." She said, "I am fine, I promise. It will pass, he is clearly aggravated."
"No." I said firmly, "You are not."
She looked at me, "Do not concern yourself with me."
I patted her cheek gently, rubbing her bruise slowly; she was wincing slightly in pain.
"This is not right." I said seriously, "This....what he's doing...."
"It's not right."
