(Ellion's POV)
"Another thing, Ser Ellion." Rhaegar said, "I am not sure if you would be aware of such things, but I have to bring it up."
I raised an eyebrow, "Yes?"
"My Father, The King, has a history of.....being unfaithful to my mother." He said as he crossed his arms, "It was well-known back then, he had his own share of Mistresses."
"That may or may not have been brought up at times." I said, "What of it?"
"He claims he has stopped such things, but the impact of his actions still lingers." Rhaegar continued, "I hear a certain Knight has been keeping it to heart; the fact that my Father bedded his wife and sister."
I blinked, "He's been busy, I bet."
"He was, at some point." Rhaegar nodded, "And it does not take a Grand Maester to know that you are similar in that standpoint. You have been spotted visiting brothels."
"That is my business." I said, "And I am not married, after all. I am still a Bastard, you know."
"A landed Knight." Rhaegar said, "I care not of what your origin is, Ser Ellion. You have proven yourself not just to the King, but to the Kingsguard and me. Other Lords and Knights may have their doubts about you, but all you need to do is prove yourself to them."
"Hm." I said, "Tell me about this Knight."
"Ser Qarl Templeton of The Vale." He said, "The youngest brother of Ser Yohn Templeton, the head of the Knightly House."
"Hm." I said, "So, what? He's angry that the King fucked his wife and sister?"
"Yes. Ser Yohn has dismissed his anger, but there is reason to be concerned." Rhaegar said, "With all the Houses converging to King's Landing, to make marriage proposals, there could be the possibility of him trying some-"
"Let me handle that." I said, "If Templeton attempts to harm the King, The Queen, or You, I will cut off his arm and let the Crown decide his fate."
"You do understand that if you do that, it could have serious repercussions." He said
"What I do is for the sake of the Realm." I said, "And I am sworn to House Targaryen."
That is a lie. I don't really care about all of that. If there is a possibility of this Knight in attempting something, I ought to do something in order to make an impression to the other Lords of the Realm. When they realize I am not someone they want to cross, maybe their attitude towards me will change.
Not only that, I could have Aerys shut the fuck up and make him happy.
He isn't Tywin, whom I didn't care about in the slightest. A Happy King is good for not just myself, but for everyone. It is not the time to make a move, I have to be patient when to do something.
"Hm...." Rhaegar said, "Very well."
"Point him out for me should you see him." I said, "I'll keep an eye on him. I won't bother attending these marriage proposals in the Throne Room, I have no place there."
"If you wish." He said with a nod, "I will see you around, Ser Ellion."
********************
A few days later, I had heard that another House was arriving, which was rather surprising. House Baratheon had made themselves quite comfortable in the Red Keep and I couldn't keep my eyes off Lady Casanna, who hadn't acknowledged me at all.
I don't blame her, Lord Steffon is with her at all times, and she has also been busy with the Queen. Aerys had a banquet with House Baratheon and I overheard that House Lannister was near.
And here they were; I saw the convoy arrive in the courtyard, the large red and gold banners. I saw that Tywin Lannister was on a horse in the lead, his smug expression was irritating as always. His two brothers were behind him on horseback as well, their dumb faces were also an irritating sight.
I was leaning on the wall, my arms crossed as some Targaryen Men-at-Arms were standing nearby.
"You sure you want to be here?" one of them asked
I raised an eyebrow, "Why do you ask?"
"Lord Tywin does not seem fond of you." He said
"I couldn't care less what he is fond of." I said with a chuckle, "Besides, that is exactly why I am here."
I looked over at the convoy, seeing that Tywin was dismounting as a guard was holding his reins. His brothers did the same as the carriages were slowed down to a stop. I didn't see Kevan Lannister, so I assume he remained in Casterly Rock to hold the fort down. Tygett and Gerion were the ones who were with him.
I do wonder if the rest of the family was there; I think Genna was going to stay in Casterly Rock and have her husband join her.
The moment that Tywin looked at me, his expression hardened, a look of spite and anger creeping up on his face.
I chuckled, "Watch this." I said to the men-at-arms next to me, "Ahem, Lord Tywin."
I walked over to him, seeing as he was taking off his gloves as he stood there.
"Ser Ellion." He said, his tone was begrudging
His two brothers merely scowled at me, not happy with me being there.
"Welcome to King's Landing." I said as I stood there, "I trust that you are here about the marriage proposal for Prince Rhaegar."
Tygett spat on the ground, "What's it to you, bastard?" He said, "Fuck off."
Tywin didn't react to this, but Gerion merely rolled his eyes.
"Let the boy be, brother." He said, "He's simply a lapdog greeting us in the stead of his owner."
"If the dog doesn't get out of the way, I'll put him down." Tygett said with an annoyed tone
"I welcome House Lannister with nothing but peace." I said, "But if you are to start a fight, Tygett, I might as well warn you that it won't end well."
"You little-" Tygett started
"Enough." Tywin said, "Is that all you are here for, Boy?"
He was giving me a serious expression, nothing but contempt in his eyes.
"Hm." I said, "Mayhaps."
"You push your luck." Tywin said, "Very well, you can greet the others if you want. Tyg, Gerion, hold your tongues, you imbeciles. Like it or not, this boy here is His Grace's personal guard."
As the three began to walk past me, I saw the carriage doors open and I saw a beautiful flash of golden hair.
Lady Joanna was slowly stepping out of the carriage, being helped by a man-at-arms. She was wearing a beautiful red and gold dress, her figure was beautiful and desirable. I couldn't help but feel a bit nervous yet excited.
I glanced over at Tywin, who was casually walking towards the entrance; it seemed that he was in a hurry.
I then cleared my throat and walked over to Lady Joanna, who was helping Tyrion down, "Lady Joanna, it has been quite a while."
She turned her head quickly with surprise, "S-Ser Ellion?" She said
I bowed slightly, "It is an honor to see you again." I said, "I trust that the journey was safe?"
She nodded slowly, "I-It was....." She said, gulping slightly as she held onto Tyrion's hand, "Thank you...."
I gestured inside, "Allow me to escort you inside." I said, "Lady Genna did not accompany you?"
"No, Ser Ellion." She said, "She did not."
"Shame." I said,
"I did miss her."
