Chapter 219 - Chapter 205: Kama: How the hell am I supposed to play this?

"What exactly are you trying to do?"

Alvin stared at the woman ahead of him.

Kama smiled sweetly, "I just want everyone to sink into the instinct of following their own desires."

"That includes you too... Senpai~"

For a brief moment, even her voice and presence seemed to turn into Matou Sakura's, but it disappeared in an instant.

At the same time, a faint sound like raging tides seemed to rise from the void.

Mixed within it were terrifying ripples of magical energy.

This was the Chaos Tide from the Imaginary Number Space.

"What did you do?", Alvin asked without thinking.

"Nothing much. I just wanted to gain more 'power,'" A meaningful smile appeared on Kama's face.

After evolving through the Chaos Tide, her senses had become even sharper.

And from Alvin, Kama clearly felt the presence of a "kindred."

She was now a complete Beast, so how could a mere Servant have an aura similar to hers?

There was only one answer.

Inside Alvin's body was also the power of the "black mud."

'So this is probably the trump card he has been hiding?'

'If I used him as a medium, maybe I can find the source of the "black mud."'

A faint light flickered in Alvin's eyes. Looking at the group of Heroic Spirits behind Kama, one thought immediately appeared in his mind, 'We have to leave this temple.'

He was a White Dragon. He naturally sensed danger, and from Kama, he felt a level of danger he had never sensed since the Holy Grail War began.

"I already told you. None of you are leaving," Kama sneered.

At the same time, the Heroic Spirits formed from black mud behind her charged at Merlin and the others.

Kama raised her left hand. A bow covered in Sanskrit quietly formed, aimed at Alvin.

"I know you've been hiding a trump card this whole time. But when someone is cornered, they probably stop worrying about holding back, right?"

She placed the arrow on the string with her right hand, "Show me what your trump card really is, Alvin!"

The arrow shot forward like it tore through the air itself, carrying overwhelming pink light toward Alvin.

Alvin slammed his fist into the arrow. With a sharp crack, the pink light scattered, the glow on the arrow dimmed, and then it shattered in midair with a bang.

Kama had expected this. She immediately fired four or five more arrows covered in black mud, each one equal to a powerful Noble Phantasm.

Golden light poured from Alvin's body like waves as he kept smashing the arrows apart, but in the end, one arrow slipped through and shot straight toward his chest.

There was no time to think. Alvin opened his mouth.

Under Kama's stunned gaze, he shouted a word completely out of place on this battlefield.

"MOM!"

The instant his voice fell, the arrow that was about to hit him suddenly stopped.

The black mud that should have been under Kama's control formed into a shield and blocked the arrow on its own.

The black mud on the ground seemed pulled by some kind of force. Countless masses of black mud rose into the air, and soon the entire ceiling was covered in darkness.

And at the center of that mass of black mud, an ancient and enormous figure quietly descended in response to Alvin's call.

Kama's pupils shrank, as if she could not believe what she was seeing.

"Beast?"

The word escaped her mouth almost immediately.

'Alvin's trump card is actually a Beast?'

'How is that possible? A mere Heroic Spirit body can summon a Beast?'

'If this happened in a normal Holy Grail War, who could possibly beat him?'

But very quickly, Kama noticed something strange.

She stared at the figure in the air, and soon a mocking smile appeared on her face.

"No, this doesn't seem to be the real body. It's not even a proper clone, just a familiar?"

'The real body seems to be somewhere else?'

'A Beast capable of controlling "black mud"... interesting.'

Kama stopped paying attention to Alvin and flew toward Tiamat in the air.

Merlin seemed to realize something and shouted urgently, "Alvin, don't let her get close to 'Mother'."

But by the time Merlin shouted it, it was already too late.

Just as Alvin was about to move closer, Rider blocked his path.

"Move aside."

Alvin stared at Rider, "Your Master is looking for death!"

Rider gently shook her head, "This is Master's order... Besides, do you really think anyone in this world can defeat a complete Beast, Assassin?"

As soon as she finished speaking, Alvin said a name.

"She's Tiamat."

The smile on Rider's face slowly disappeared. She suddenly raised her head and looked toward the sky.

At this moment, Tiamat had only just manifested and was still confused.

Before she could react, Kama flew in front of her and grabbed her forehead with one hand.

Tracing Magecraft!

"Oh?"

Very quickly, surprise and delight appeared on Kama's face, "The real body is actually inside the Imaginary Number Space?"

If it were anyone else, they probably would have given up after learning the target was in another dimension.

But Kama had already completed her evolution and could use Matou Sakura's "Imaginary Number" magecraft.

She grabbed Tiamat's "clone" with one hand and quickly confirmed Tiamat's true location through Tracing Magecraft.

Then she slashed at the void with her right hand.

A crack in space suddenly tore open, and endless black mud poured out from the Imaginary Number rift.

"My senses really were right... this thing's true body is the source of the 'Chaos Tide.'"

'If I can completely make the Chaos Tide my own...'

At that thought, greed appeared in Kama's eyes as she casually looked toward the far end of the Imaginary Number Space rift.

Suddenly, her body stiffened.

From deep within the rift, she saw a pair of Tiamat's eyes opening slowly.

Those eyes could make all things tremble, boiling chaos flowed deep within the irises like a nebula vortex tearing through space and time.

Gulp!

Kama swallowed unconsciously. Even as a complete Beast-class existence, her body froze before the Imaginary Number rift.

'How is this possible?'

She felt something unbelievable.

'I am a complete Beast. What kind of creature in this world can make me feel "fear"?'

'And... that is also a Beast?'

"What... exactly is that thing?"

Kama stared fixedly at the eyes within the rift, her expression changing again and again.

"Close the Imaginary Number Space rift now!"

At that moment, Alvin's shout suddenly came from behind her.

Kama frowned slightly and sneered, "Who do you think you're talking to, White Dragon—"

Before she could finish, the smile on her face froze.

Tiamat's clone was turning into particles of light and flowing back toward the main body, while terrifying pressure that shook spiritual cores came from the other side of the rift.

Kama stared at this scene uncertainly. At this moment, her mind felt completely muddled, filled with countless questions.

'Who exactly is this woman?'

'And... why is her true body inside a place like the Imaginary Number Space where no living beings exists?'

"What are you standing there for?"

Seeing Kama still standing there motionless, Alvin felt his heartbeat speeding up as he sensed Tiamat's eyes opening within the rift.

The first thought in his mind was, 'Useless teammate.'

Tiamat acknowledged him as her child, but her real body could not maintain "reason." Once the main body awakened, the Chaos Tide would swallow the entire world and return it to its "origin."

This was Tiamat, the Beast known as the "Principle of Regression."

If Kama's existence only threatened humanity's order, then once Tiamat's true body descended, she would definitely become a danger capable of destroying all of humanity.

But in the end, even Kama could never have imagined that a Beast that existed before creation itself was sleeping inside the Imaginary Number Space, or that Alvin could summon her clone.

As if she noticed Kama's gaze, Tiamat's true body looked through the Imaginary Number rift toward Kama's direction.

She slowly opened her mouth.

"Aaaaaa!"

In the next moment, a beautiful yet dangerous song like a siren from the sea passed through layers of sound waves. It pierced through the Imaginary Number rift, and just hearing it created a terrifying sense of danger.

Merlin's expression changed. He raised his staff and released a pink barrier into the air to block the incoming sound waves.

Kama suddenly came back to herself. She quickly raised her hand, trying to close the Imaginary Number rift she had opened moments earlier.

However, like a curious pandora opening the forbidden box, once it was opened, regretting it and trying to close it again was already too late.

"Aaaaa!"

Tiamat released a song filled with deep sorrow and anger as the Chaos Tide surged toward the Imaginary Number rift.

The rift suddenly expanded, and a dark purple flood of chaos poured out like a collapsed dam.

Space let out the sharp sound of shattering glass. The temple beneath Kama's feet broke apart piece by piece, turning into black particles swallowed by the rift.

Kama staggered backward. In her enchanting red eyes reflected the enormous creature slowly approaching the rift.

It was a giant beast wrapped in stars and emptiness. Her body seemed large enough to hold up heaven and earth, and every inch of her skin was covered in scales that glowed like the laws of destruction themselves.

For a moment, Kama seemed stunned.

"You've got to be kidding... Is this really a Beast?"

They were both complete Beasts, but Kama and Tiamat's spiritual foundations were on completely different levels.

A bow covered in countless Sanskrit symbols formed at Kama's fingertips, while the arrow in her right hand burned with crimson flames.

Whoosh!

In the next moment, the arrow tore through the air and shot toward the rift.
