Chapter 281 - Chapter 281: Black's Noble House

" Looking at the bottom line of the family tree, Allen said, 'You're not there.' "

Pointing to a small, charred hole in the tapestry that resembled a cigarette burn, Sirius said "I used to be like that."

"After I ran away from home, my dear old mother chased me out – Kreacher loves to hum this story to himself."

"Did you run away from home?"

"I was about sixteen years old," said Sirius . "I said enough is enough."

"Where did you go?" Allen asked, looking at her.

Sirius suddenly fell silent. After a long pause,he said , "To James's house ."

Allen rubbed his nose and suddenly pretended to be interested in the tapestry. He saw Druella Rosier, his mother's first cousin . It was black .

Druella Rosier ,who married Sirius's uncle Cygnus Black andgave birth to three sisters, Bellatrix , Narcissa , and Andromeda , had already passed away along with her husband.

"So, if we calculate it that way, we're distantly related?" Sirius , initially displeased with the family tree , followed Allen's gaze and noticed his cousins' mother's original last name.

Allen immediately dismissed the other's thought of calculating this relationship: "My mother and her cousin didn't get along very well."

Sirius shrugged indifferently; he had no intention of using his connections to get out of debt.

One name at the very bottom of the family tree caught his attention: Regulus Black . There was a death date following his birth date (approximately fifteen years ago).

Sirius also leaned down to take a closer look at the tapestry.

This behavior only reinforced Allen's judgment: Sirius might not agree with his family's ideals , but that didn't mean he didn't love their ideals or yearn for the warmth of a family .

"This is my brother, an idiot," Sirius thought , noticing Allen's gaze and stroking the part where Regulus Black's name was engraved.

"He was very weak-willed; he actually believed my parents' nonsense – that being a member of the Black Dynasty meant being of noble birth..."

Allen disagreed with Sirius ; it was Regulus Black who had bravely embraced death and retrieved the Horcrux that Voldemort had hidden in the middle of the lake .

" He's become a Death Eater !" Sirius turned his head and looked at the other names.

" Were your parents Death Eaters too ?" Allen asked.

"No, they weren't, but believe me, they thought Lord Voldemort had the right ideas. They all favored preserving the purity of wizarding blood, getting rid of Muggle- borns , and having purebloods in power."

Sirius paused and continued, "Of course, these weren't unique. Before Lord Voldemort revealed his true face, many people believed that some of his views were correct..."

Allen became increasingly certain that Sirius might hate his parents' ideals, but he realized that Sirius didn't actually despise them.

"I haven't looked at this thing in years."

"This is Phineas Nigellus ... my great-great-grandfather, do you see him?... The most disliked headmaster in Hogwarts history ..."

"And Araminta Meliflua ... my mother's cousin... tried to get a decree passed by the Ministry of Magic that would legalize Muggle hunting ..."

"And my dear Aunt Elladora ... she started the family tradition of beheading house elves when they get too old to carry tea trays ..."

"Of course, when a more or less decent person entered the family , they would reject him."

Sirius pursed his lips; he was clearly one of those more or less decent people.

Great, while the immoral ones lived comfortable aristocratic lives, that virtuous man was imprisoned in Azkaban for thirteen years !

Allen didn't believe in this poisonous "chicken soup for the soul . "

"Alright, let's go. Let's hurry and keep our promise."

Sirius stood up and led Allen up the stairs from the living room to the second floor.

"There are some collections there that might interest you," Black said, gesturing to the dusty, glass-fronted cabinets on either side of the fireplace. "Take a look and choose for yourself."

While speaking , Black moved to open the tightly closed curtains.

Suddenly Black swore and Allen turned to look.

Several adult Doberman dogs darted out from between the curtains, their bright, insect-like wings whizzing. Their tiny, needle-sharp teeth were exposed, their small bodies covered in thick black fur, and their four little fists were clenched in anger.

Caught off guard, Black's hand was bitten.

Allen winked, froze the Doxies using the Ice Cream Spell , and threw a bottle of antidote at Black .

" Has Kreacher not cleaned in over ten years ?"

Sirius slowly sat down on a slumped chair, speaking angrily, then leaped to his feet with a cry of disgust—

He looked down and relaxed; it wasn't alive, it couldn't harm him, so there was no problem—just a nest of dead Puffskeins .

Allen couldn't help but laugh; Sirius was indeed experiencing a bit of bad luck.

Allen focused his attention on the cabinet in front of him.

The glass doors were very dirty, and the Dark Magic objects inside were even stranger.

Allen pointed his wand and cast the "Scourgiify" spell on the cupboard . Then, he slowly opened the cupboard door and began sorting through the items one by one.

A rusty dagger, animal claws, coiled snakeskin, an ornate crystal bottle filled with opal and blood, a biting silver snuff box full of wart powder , a multi-legged, tweezer-like instrument that can crawl like a spider, a music box that can induce sleep... and — Slytherin's Locket !

Allen threw the necklace into the system storage without hesitation .

The familiar voice of the system was heard: "Shattered Soul detected. Are you sure you want to continue storing it?"

"Of course," Allen replied.

The system fell silent, and the medallion disappeared from Allen's field of vision .

I'm examining the remaining items: the First Class Order of Merlin , a large gold ring with black figure engraving , the family crest, and silver-framed family photographs... Allen couldn't find anything more valuable than Slytherin's locket , so he stood up.

Unexpectedly, she found Sirius kneeling in front of a writing desk, bewildered and silently weeping .

And there he was, Harry Potter !

Lying horizontally in front of Sirius was Harry's body.

Allen's heart involuntarily stopped for a moment, but then he realized it was a Boggart .

Harry was nowsafe and healthy at Hogwarts .

Allen quickly gained the upper hand and overtook Boggart .

It turns out Sirius's greatest fear is Harry's death!

"He'll get better," said Allen.

"I know. With Dumbledore around, Harry will never be in danger." Sirius stood up, his face grim.

"Nothing? Well, predictable. A clever Young Wizard like you wouldn't be interested in things like the Order of Merlin or gold rings , would you ?" He looked at Allen's empty hands and said.

"There's a library upstairs; the books aren't very old, but you can take a look if you're interested..."

"Of course." Allen was a true Ravenclaw ; greed was in the raven's nature.

He didn't want to miss any opportunities to gain knowledge and increase his power.
