Chapter 350: How to Be a Qualified Villain

"William!" Jenny's eyes lit up, and she immediately bypassed Langdon and ran to the door.

Zoe remained standing where she was, but the corners of her mouth curled up involuntarily.

"It's you." Langdon narrowed his eyes slightly. "I've been looking for you."

William circled around, sizing him up as well.

"I heard the former Supreme tried to sacrifice all the girls in the Academy, but was ultimately stopped by a mysterious man..." Langdon tilted his head, looking at William.

But the latter didn't answer. Instead, he walked behind him, forcing Langdon to turn around. But immediately after, he realized that the guy called "William" had pressed up close to him, seemingly observing something.

Langdon immediately took two steps back. "You insolent bastard, have you seen enough?!"

Jenny also tugged at William, quietly revealing the other party's identity.

"So you are the Son of the Devil. I've heard so much about you." William's gaze grew even more fervent.

Although Langdon didn't quite understand the latter part of his sentence, he figured it was some sort of compliment. So, he puffed out his chest, smiled faintly, and regained his previous composure.

But the next moment, a bright red chain materialized on his body.

Immediately after, Langdon realized he couldn't move.

"How is this possible..." His expression changed.

Subsequently, Langdon narrowed his eyes, deciding to no longer hold back. He attempted to trigger the little demonic power he had left, but a powerful isolation magic array quickly appeared around the Academy. No matter what he did, he couldn't mobilize even a sliver of his power.

The other witches were equally surprised.

This Son of the Devil was the very entity who had slaughtered the entire Warlock Academy. Even Headmistress Foxx found him hard to resist, yet the man before them had subdued him so effortlessly.

Only the three witches who had previously met William were able to remain somewhat calm.

"You came here to eliminate all the witches?" William rubbed his chin, looking at Langdon.

The latter didn't understand the underlying meaning: "Is there a problem?"

"And after doing all that, you plan to build a new world?" William's expression was peculiar.

This reaction clearly enraged the Son of the Devil.

"Hmph. Once I'm free, I will thoroughly torture your soul," Langdon gritted his teeth.

William spread his hands: "Is Hell really this amateurish? To send only you?"

"What did you say!" Langdon could no longer maintain his composure.

"I murdered my nanny right after I was born, and I slaughtered the entire Warlock Academy. The souls of these witches are also about to become slaves of Hell..."

He recounted his past "achievements" in detail, but all it earned him was a single sentence from William—

"And?"

"Today, the supernatural powers of the entire world are dominated by the Church. Besides them, the Lord Knights and the Sorcerer Association also possess formidable influence..." William pointed at the witches behind him. "These girls have only just stepped into the supernatural world. Is defeating them really that difficult of a task?"

Saying that, he turned around.

"My apologies, I'm just stating a fact. I don't mean to insult you ladies."

The witches: ???

"Furthermore, the Rosicrucian Order is merely a newly established organization. Its impact on the entire supernatural world is minimal," William continued. "Making such a huge scene just to deal with an organization like this is practically begging other factions to come looking for you."

Langdon clenched his fists, but found it hard to refute.

"Isn't Hell best at mind control?" William paced around the conference room. "Hiding in the shadows and slowly infiltrating the Witch Academy, turning them all into your vassals—wouldn't that be much more covert?"

"Wait until the world undergoes an anomaly, then look for opportunities to seize more. That is the mindset for accomplishing great things."

Hearing this, several people, including Zoe and Jenny, froze on the spot.

Are you even on our side?

Langdon also widened his eyes; his train of thought broadened infinitely in that instant.

"You... you want to help me?" He couldn't help but voice his confusion.

"An evil faction seeking help from its enemy?" William stared at him like he was looking at an idiot. "Furthermore, judging from your actions, you are destined to fail."

"You finally managed to infiltrate the Academy, yet you didn't attack the strongest person here. Instead, you wasted time on a bunch of rookies..."

"What if the Supreme had prepared other trump cards in advance?"

William snorted coldly, "You've completely disgraced the face of Hell."

Langdon felt as if he had been struck by lightning, a wave of frustration washing over his entire body like the tide. He lowered his head, constantly replaying his actions during this period in his mind.

"Could I... really have been wrong?"

Meanwhile, footsteps echoed from the stairs outside the conference room.

Shortly after, Headmistress Foxx appeared at the door, followed by the former Supreme, Fiona.

However, both of their expressions were somewhat peculiar.

"Mr. ...William, we meet again." Foxx cleared her throat softly and looked at the man before her. "Thank you for saving the Witch Academy once again."

"Ms. Foxx." William nodded slightly, then glanced at Fiona. "So this old hag isn't dead yet."

As soon as the words left his mouth, Fiona's hand gripping her cigarette tightened, instantly crushing it.

"What is that supposed to mean," her mouth twitched.

"A person who pursues beauty and power to such an extent might revert to her old ways any day," William said pointedly. "Ms. Foxx, you'd better be cautious."

Foxx lowered her head slightly. "I understand what you mean, but for now, let's deal with the matter of this Son of the Devil."

William shrugged. Anyway, he had already warned her, which was more than enough on his part.

"I'm taking this guy with me. You don't have a problem with that, do you?" he asked, pointing at Langdon.

The witches looked at each other.

"Uh... may I ask where you plan to take him? He is an extremely dangerous individual," Foxx was still somewhat uneasy.

"Now that the Demon God's legion is about to invade, this Son of the Devil is a rare piece of material." William's eyes burned with fervor. "Hell is truly generous, actually letting such an important figure roam the human world so freely."

Langdon shuddered instantly; he felt exactly like a piece of prey at this moment.

"Anyway, I will ensure that this Son of the Devil never sets foot in the Witch Academy again."

Saying this, William reached out and touched Langdon's cheek, causing the latter to shrink back as much as he could.

Foxx pondered for a moment and felt that this didn't seem to be a bad thing for them. She turned to look at Fiona, who still wore a displeased expression.

So, Foxx nodded: "Then we leave him to you."

"Oh, right."

William opened the academy doors. Outside sat two figures, currently bound tightly.

"I've already interrogated them. The academy's protective barrier was destroyed by the Voodoo witch. This woman wanted to exchange it for power in the 'new world', and something about... renewing her talk show."

He walked over to Marie as he spoke.

"If your ratings drop, you should just focus on improving your craft. How can you torture your audience for profit!"

Hearing this, the Voodoo witch snorted coldly and lowered her head.

"Marie... I thought we had an agreement!" Foxx frowned, glaring at her.

"And this one," William pointed at the middle-aged woman wearing black lipstick next to her. "This should be an android, controlled by someone else behind the scenes. If you don't know how to deal with it, you can call 911. I believe the North American officials would be very interested in this thing."

Meanwhile, somewhere else, two young men with bowl-cut hairstyles were instantly startled.

William shook his head: "For a Son of the Devil to be manipulated by two humans hiding behind the scenes... Hell has truly lost all its prestige."

After saying that, he snapped his fingers. The bright red chain on Langdon instantly extended to the floor, subsequently dragging the Son of the Devil toward the door.

Zoe leaned forward slightly, one hand involuntarily raising up. But a moment later, she remained standing where she was.

Just like that, the witches watched blankly as the two left.

One day later.

At a certain Light of Humanity base.

Langdon was tightly bound to a metal operating table, next to which lay a beating heart.

William stood to the side, holding the Book of the World in his hands.

In his field of vision at this moment, numerous ethereal threads were extending from the surface of that heart, attempting to attach themselves to Langdon. However, they were ultimately all restricted by a magic array.

And the Son of the Devil was staring at William in sheer terror: "What... what are you going to do!"
