"What did you say?" Sparkle glared at him, eyes wide with anger. He had really made a move on the company!
Aaron Lawson impatiently ordered, "Take her to the scene!"
The assistant forcefully dragged Sparkle to the scene.
Knowing she couldn't escape, Sparkle no longer struggled.
As soon as she appeared, the reporters swarmed her.
"Miss Gold, we hear that you leaked the information online intentionally for hype. Is that true?"
"Sparkle, they say you masterminded all this. First, you had Linda Hancock announce publicly that you'd stick to the original soundtrack, then leaked the information online to boost the company's reputation."
...
Seeing all those eager faces, Sparkle found it laughable but could only apologize with a guilty look:
"I'm sorry, it's all my fault. I was greedy for quick success and hyped things up. I hurt Linda Hancock's reputation and deceived everyone. I'm very sorry."
The moment she said this, the crowd surged in uproar.
"Sparkle, after doing such a thing, do you think a mere apology suffices?"
"Starlight treats the reputation of its artists so casually, aren't you afraid of breaking their hearts?"
...
Online, the curse words poured in like a tidal wave, each more unbearable than the last.
"Sparkle is a despicable person, daring to hurt Linda Hancock like this. Shameless!"
"Why don't you just die? Hurting our Lynn like that, may your entire family perish, Sparkle!"
...
"Sparkle, you shameless creature, just go die!" Suddenly, an agitated fan at the scene threw a bottle.
Sparkle, caught off guard, was hit on the head, the pain making her frown deeply.
Online, the cheers were overwhelming.
The scene descended into chaos.
Security quickly stepped in to maintain order, and Sparkle swiftly retreated. Returning to the office, she found Aaron Lawson and Linda Hancock locked in an intimate embrace.
Their clothes were mostly undone, clearly preparing for something inappropriate.
Seeing her enter, Linda Hancock let out a shriek, quickly pushing Aaron away, and looked at her in panic: "Sis, let me explain, I didn't mean to..."
"I know, you're rehearsing for a new play." Sparkle clenched her fists, enduring the pain on her head and the humiliation in her heart.
It wasn't time to tear things apart yet, she decided to temporarily play dumb.
What a fool, no wonder the man was taken by her!
Inside, Linda Hancock sneered, but outwardly feigned innocence: "Yes, we're rehearsing for a new play. Sis, you're so kind."
Sparkle ignored her and questioned, "Aaron Lawson, you still haven't told me why my company became part of the Lawson Family's."
Aaron adjusted his clothing, showing no guilt at all: "Just a small issue during the previous equity change."
Sparkle's face turned cold: "You manipulated it?"
"Don't make it sound so harsh, it was just a minor accident."
Taking a deep breath, Sparkle tried to control her anger: "Fix that minor accident today."
"I'm afraid that's not possible."
"What do you mean?"
"The shares are in my brother's hands."
"Aaron Lawson, you better return the shares quickly, or we're not finished!" Sparkle finally understood what Linda Hancock meant yesterday by "for her company and connections."
They were truly ruthless!
With everything laid bare, Aaron still feigned deep emotion: "Sparkle, I never thought you'd be this kind of person. I gave you everything, yet it couldn't compete with the slightest bit of profit."
Sparkle sneered coldly: "And yet that little bit of profit elevated you to where you are today."
