The carriage drove from the Inner City towards the Outer District.
The speed at which scenes outside the window retreated gradually slowed down.
Hoof was peering out the window, "Hey? What are they selling? The queue is blocking the whole road!"
Ellie Miller was brought back to her senses by Hoof's startled voice.
She turned her head to look; outside the window, the entrance of a shop was crowded with people.
This was a bookstore named 'Riker's Books'.
The shop assistant stood on a wooden box, using a newspaper rolled into a 'megaphone', loudly shouting advertisements:
"Extra! Headline!"
"The Seventh Empire Rising!"
"Could Clark become the seventh Dragon-Rearing Empire!?"
"New novel released! 'The Emerald Duke'!"
Hoof, skilled at reading the crowd, had already knocked on the carriage compartment.
The coachman stopped the carriage.
Ellie Miller took out a small bag of Gold Coin and handed it to Hoof.
"Get me a copy of each major weekly newspaper from the past week."
