Sierra Summers was briefly distracted by Caleb Sterling's imposing presence and indifferent expression. She had never seen such a powerful and intimidating side of Caleb Sterling before.
It was kind of refreshing.
But...
Sierra Summers lifted her chin and replied fearlessly, "If that's what you're referring to, I've guessed it long ago. I've always felt you had quite a bit of tolerance for me. I wouldn't be so self-absorbed to think you like me, so I thought, maybe it's because of Chloe."
"But, can you really say it's all because of Chloe?" Sierra felt Caleb's grip tighten a little more, and she let out a soft hum, eyes watery, placing her hand atop his. "It hurts..."
Seeing her discomfort, Caleb instinctively loosened his grip.
In the next second, he turned cold and looked at Sierra, "Are you deceiving me?"
Sierra's face was marked with two red imprints, looking rather comical as she laughed, "Then do you feel sorry for me?"
Caleb gave her a deep look.
