Jasmine instantly stiffened up. She stopped talking, went even quieter, didn't call out to anyone, just turned around to leave.
Sierra Summers was in the middle of apologizing and admitting her mistakes to Grandma Jennings, obediently owning up to her mischief. Out of the corner of her eye she saw Jasmine about to go, and immediately reached out, grabbed Jasmine's arm, and pulled her over to introduce her to Grandma Jennings.
"Grandma! This big sister kept me company here while we waited for you! Let's invite her home for dinner! I want to be friends with her!!"
When Sierra was little, she already spoke very bluntly. Not only blunt, she was really like a little sun—warm and full of energy.
Jasmine had no reason to refuse.
And she didn't want to go home anyway.
