Chen Qing returned to his small courtyard carrying the Fish King. He instructed Perilla to meticulously cook the fish's body, while he himself took its head and went straight to Luo Zhixian's residence on Ten Thousand Laws Peak.
"Master!"
In the courtyard, Luo Zhixian stood with his hands clasped behind his back, seemingly contemplating the churning sea of clouds.
He turned at the sound of his voice, his gaze immediately drawn to the fish head in Chen Qing's hands.
"You caught the Fish King?"
A rare glint of light appeared in Luo Zhixian's eyes.
He had few pleasures in life, but the brain of the Fish King—fresh, tender, and rich, containing a special Spirit Charm—was one of his favorite things.
"Yes. Your disciple was fortunate enough to catch it today and has brought it as a show of respect, Master." Chen Qing respectfully presented the fish head.
"That's very thoughtful of you."
Luo Zhixian nodded slightly, motioning for Chen Qing to sit on a stone bench in the courtyard.
