But life here had just started to get on track. His subordinates had integrated the Monster Race, controlled a trade route, and secured a stable source of black oil. Everything was moving in a good direction.
For Galos to give up directly, he was unwilling.
In the wilderness, weakness is the greatest risk. Abandoning the territory to start anew would take time and energy, slowing his growth and keeping him in a prolonged state of vulnerability.
This is something Galos cannot tolerate.
