Boom!
A deafening roar, like distant thunder, echoed far in the gigantic cavern, causing the stalactites at the top of the cavern to tremble ceaselessly.
Among it were the sounds of battle cries and screams rising and falling.
The helmeted and armored Gnolls, Kobolds, and Lizardmen stood on the city walls, their eyes bloodshot, desperately defending against the Stone Golems' assault.
Even though their companions continuously fell beneath the giant fists of the Stone Golems, these usually cowardly creatures showed not a hint of fear, as if they had gone berserk.
Behind them floated a group of eye monsters.
They looked like enormous eyeballs, with a blood-red mouth full of sharp teeth in the center of their bodies and long tendrils growing all around the sphere, each tipped with a small eyeball emitting an eerie purple light.
Upon closer inspection, one could perceive a trace of the same eerie purple light deep within the eyes of those enslaved.
Hiss hiss hiss!
