Half an hour ago, inside the billiards club.
The air was thick with the scent of alcohol and luxurious perfume. Sean Wallace had just been caught in three horribly candid, ugly photos, and he was so angry he practically jumped to his feet.
Sean swung his head around and demanded of the man lounging lazily on the edge of the pool table, "Are you purposely messing with me today?"
Adrian leaned on his cue with one hand, flicked open a metal lighter with the other, and tilted his head to light a cigarette. The cool blue flame lit up his sharp, chiseled features.
He took a drag, then drawled nonchalantly, "Why would you be worth my time?"
"You're just jealous I'm better-looking, and I have a hundred times more dating experience than you!" Sean retorted, all bluster.
Adrian couldn't even be bothered to respond. Cigarette clamped between his lips, he picked up the cue, bent over, and his shirt tightened around his slim, toned waist.
