Adrian stared at her with a blank expression. He didn't say a word or let go of her hand.
Serena curled her fingers, the tips brushing softly through his warm palm, once, twice, a teasing graze barely there. The lingering itch seeped through her skin, straight to her heart, finally loosening the line of his lips.
"Why would we go to your place?" Adrian feigned ignorance.
Serena bit the inside of her cheek, lifted her gaze to his, meeting his eyes dead-on.
She wasn't that shy, but there were things she couldn't just blurt out.
How to say it? Serena had no sexual shame. Discussing desire—so long as it didn't cross into offense or insult—she could speak calmly, without blinking.
But Adrian was different.
