Perhaps because they were going to be apart again, their kiss became particularly gentle and lingering.
They gently soothed each other's reluctance to part.
When the kiss ended, both were slightly out of breath.
Bella Acker pressed her forehead against Damian Sinclair's, whispering, "Damian, I will miss you a lot, and you must remember to miss me too, okay?"
"I have a way for you not to miss me so much." Damian replied hoarsely, pressing his forehead against hers.
"What way?" Bella asked expectantly.
"Stay by my side all the time." Damian said as he raised his hand to pinch her cheeks, which had turned rosy from the kiss.
"How could that work? I still have to do my own job." Bella pouted, "Damian, I'm already reluctant to part with you, you can't weaken my resolve any further. I still want to become stronger and catch up with you."
"Impossible."
