The kiss and bed scenes, which were expected to require multiple takes, went surprisingly smoothly, and everyone breathed a sigh of relief. Even Director Ford, known for being stingy with time during filming, generously allowed everyone a ten-minute break this time.

When wrapped in the blanket, it looked as if their bodies were entwined together. But once uncovered, it was clear that the lower bodies were quite far apart and only their upper bodies were close together for the sake of filming.
