"What happened to your hand?"
Following Holly Sawyer outside, Jenna Grant suddenly noticed Holly stopping in her tracks, looking at Jenna's injured hand with a slight frown.
"Got a little scraped during a fight."
Jenna hid her hand behind her back, feeling a bit fearful and timid.
Though Holly Sawyer seemed harmless usually, Jenna was inexplicably afraid of her mother.
Holly had never scolded or yelled at her, and certainly had never hit her.
Yet, compared to her father Leo Grant, Jenna felt more fear towards her mother—it was that inexplicable kind of fear.
"So silly."
Holly extended her hand, and just when Jenna thought her ear would be pinched, Holly's hand landed gently on Jenna's wound.
She lightly caressed it, frowning slightly.
Jenna: "???"
How was that silly?
She was very smart.
If not for her intelligence, how else could she have skipped so many grades?
She clearly inherited her parents' high intelligence; she was definitely not a paradox.
