Caden Lockwood's breath caught suddenly, feeling an overwhelming urge to see Evelyn Morgan's expression at that moment, then pulling her into his arms to fiercely love her.
"Still not awake?" His voice was rough. "Are you being a bit too lazy?"
Hearing Caden Lockwood's voice, Evelyn was startled, with her drowsiness mostly scared away.
The first thought that flashed through her mind was: I mustn't let my true self be exposed in front of him!
Without worrying about why she was concerned about leaving a bad impression on him, she immediately took a deep breath and spoke in a normal tone: "Nope! I'm up! I've been up for a long time! I've even done an hour of exercise!"
"You exercising?" Caden clearly didn't believe it. "Every morning when I'm up for my jog, you're still snoring. You exercise?"
"I snore when I sleep?" Her tone was tense, with her focus completely shifted. "Really? No way? No one ever told me I snore when I sleep!"
