Evelyn sat in the passenger seat, while Caden Lockwood drove.
Feeling bored and in a good mood, she naturally became quite talkative.
"Uncle, are you going back to work this afternoon?"
"Let me tell you! Cece is my best friend, so don't scare her!"
"Just like me, Cece loves meat, so when we order dishes later, don't order any vegetables, just meat!"
"Uncle, why did you suddenly decide to take my friend out to dinner?"
Evelyn asked several questions in a row, but Caden Lockwood had no intention of answering.
Her chatter filled the car, and he glanced at her, a faint smile on his lips, finding her self-conversation rather amusing.
But having only a listener and no talking companion left Evelyn a bit frustrated.
Turning her head, she looked out the window; the sun was still blazing. She lazily moved her legs, lying back in the passenger seat and stretched languidly.
