Feeling instantly soothed, Evelyn curled her lips into a smile and sent L a "thank you."
Touching her stomach, she felt a twinge of hunger and headed to the first floor to eat. In good spirits, she hummed a tune to herself.
"You're the electricity, you're the light, you're the only legend, I love only you, You are my superstar!"
As her gaze swept around, she saw Caden Lockwood looking at his phone. She took a seat across from him, throwing him a proud look.
"I've figured it out!" Evelyn solemnly announced, "Whether you want to talk or not! Hug your secret tight and have nightmares!"
Caden Lockwood raised his gaze, looking at Evelyn, his dark eyes filled with profound meaning.
Though he should be angry, his lips curled up unconsciously into a faint smile, his brows suffused with indulgence.
"With you sleeping beside me, I won't have nightmares." He teased her, his tone surprisingly gentle and content even to himself.
