Listening to Caden Lockwood's words, Evelyn Morgan couldn't help but smile.
"Actually... I'm not really that tired!" Evelyn's eyes sparkled brightly, "It's just that I find it so dramatic! I casually encountered such a noble person!"
Having wandered around the venue for a while, she learned some of the backstory, and she figured out Susan Stone's identity.
"The saying 'fools have good fortune' isn't bad!" Evelyn said self-deprecatingly, "Lucky me!"
"It's not luck," Caden replied softly.
He raised his hand, smoothing out the stray strands of hair on Evelyn's forehead, his gaze filled with deep affection.
Lightly parting his lips, he spoke: "Your character determines everything. You're willing to suffer grievances yourself but won't let those around you get hurt. Always so foolish."
Evelyn couldn't help but laugh, but then showed a hint of concern.
