Evelyn trembled violently as she spoke.
In the days of Caden Lockwood's disappearance, she had thought of every possible outcome.
Those possibilities tormented her, driving her to the brink of collapse.
"Stop overthinking!" Cecilia Lynch held Evelyn's hand, "It's not like you forced yourself to be with Caden; he sought you out. Besides, you had no idea about that girl's existence beforehand. She jumped, that's tragic, but who says you deserve to be deceived?"
"..."
"Besides, we haven't even confirmed anything, right?" Cecilia encouraged, "Evelyn, even if things are as we suspect, you need to have a clear conversation with Caden Lockwood. If you're going to break up, do it thoroughly. Second-guessing yourself and crying until your eyes are swollen is really bad for your health."
"He won't show up." Evelyn shook her head helplessly. "I can't find him."
