But Lady Liu of the Chen Family felt this was too simple.
So, she thought of the Zuyou Technique she learned from that Wandering Daoist, and decided to use the prefatory rituals he taught her.
This would add a greater sense of ceremony.
Thus, she held the Talisman with her left hand, facing Li Taohua, and with her right hand, she picked up the Duster, reciting the Imperial Decree Spell: "Talisman Master — the eastern wood breaks, southern fire extinguishes, western metal lacks, northern water drains, central earth cracks. Divine talisman burns the body, calamities disappear. I obey the Celestial Venerable's decree, urgently as the command!"
Then she burned the Talisman and let its ashes fall into the water, dissolving within.
And just as the talisman ashes dissolved in the water, an unbelievable scene unfolded — the ashes melted like snowflakes and then dissolved in the water.
Even slowly, the grayness in the water vanished rapidly.
