This is the power of Nuclear Fusion. Even if it's just a small-scale fusion in the palm, it can destroy everything around it,
because Nuclear Fusion loses more mass than Nuclear Fission, hence releasing more energy. A mere 1 gram of deuterium and tritium can release about 339 gigajoules (GJ) of energy, slightly less than a small nuclear bomb's output, capable of destroying a city.
This energy release is absolutely destructive for most substances, so the mass Wang Ye controls is much smaller, but the precision of biological control is ultimately not that accurate. Each Nuclear Fusion results in extremely subtle mass differences, so even Wang Ye cannot perfectly control the energy output and occasionally accidentally releases a big explosion that destroys everything around.
Fortunately, Nuclear Fusion is different from Nuclear Fission; it does not release radioactive pollution. Otherwise, Wang Ye would have to worry about the radiation affecting the health of nearby residents.
