For all his talk, Westheid's ultimate goal was to push for the adoption of the Knight Path in the Qinghui Territory. Although the Duke Qinghui's power was absolute, it was still subject to certain implicit constraints—namely, the rules passed down through generations.
The Qinghui Territory had far too many ancestral laws, it seemed.
Westheid felt that everything from the past should be overthrown to usher in a new era.
For example, the Qinghui Territory's Elite Guard was typically comprised of those with the locally passed-down Glow Gatherer profession. Westheid had already offered his sharp critique: they were one-trick ponies.
It wasn't that they weren't strong. It was just that the Glow Gatherer's core Combat Technique, River of Qinghui, was so atrociously inefficient that it was a path only a true genius could walk.
