Even the severed limbs of Chaos Demons were a rare sight. The land, scoured by the Shadow-Born Blade, was absurdly flat. Dark red flames had scorched the ground black, and crimson sparks drifted through the air.
The only survivor of the beast tide was the Mad Beast Vanguard. However, this mid-level Chaos Hundred Forms was only delaying its death for a moment. After struggling forward a couple more times, its mangled body, with only half its limbs remaining, finally stopped moving and collapsed just a few steps from Westheid.
The mountain-like corpse of the Mad Beast Vanguard was engulfed by flames, the thunderous, fiery blaze swiftly consuming the Demon's body.
