Pushing the door open, he stepped out of his room and saw a masked Cultivator in full black Armor waiting outside the courtyard.
The man was tall and burly, with a pair of piercing, tiger-like eyes. His Cultivation had clearly reached the Grandmaster level, making him quite the expert.
"Protector, Lord Shadow Scout requests your presence at the Shadowless Hall. There are important matters to discuss." The masked Cultivator bowed before straightening up again.
Lu Mingyuan walked out of the courtyard at an unhurried pace, closing the door behind him before asking, "Protector? When did I become a Protector of the Shadowless Hall?"
He had only recently been an Instructor for the Endless Pavilion. When had he been given the position of Protector?
"It is an order from Lord Shadow Scout," the masked Cultivator said, cupping his fist.
"Her order?"
Lu Mingyuan nodded to himself.
'She must have given me the title of Protector for convenience's sake.'
