There were days that Rei had confided himself to Sylvie, crying and telling her everything of how much he felt like a failure from not being able to help his father due to how he couldn't even find a part time job which every application was denied either for his status or just generally favoring others due to connection.
Sylvie had done everything to help him until that fateful day. She remembered the day with her finishing class before loud gossips and screams of people running away from the courtyard which confused her especially with the debris that flew around the place.
She thought that two elite-tier awakeners were having an all out fight either from disagreement or general sparring but to be able to cause damages like this while making the rest of the students run away? It was something odd as she decided to check it out for herself.
There on the courtyard was Rei with his eyes glowing bright, hands sharp and coated with blood, his face rough from punches then his clothes all scratched then blood spilling from his forehead. What surprised her was the expression he had on his face.
It wasn't something that she had seen almost everyday when she was around with him because the one that she was seeing was the face of someone who was unleashing their wrath to people who continued to press them in every single second which was the cause of Rei's rage to take over.
The way he fought wasn't anything that Sylvie had witnessed, Rei fought like a beast where everything in his way was a prey to feast or to dominate like a wolf defending or hunting in his territory. It was a shocking revelation of his status especially when it was so confusing of why he acted like a 'blank'.
Sylvie thought everything that they spent together was a lie but the moment his fight was over, it immediately went downhill with him breaking down. "Don't look at me. I'm so pathetic…" The words that he uttered out rang in her mind as the only thing that she could do was to help him out without asking anything.
If those memories and moments that she spent with him were fake, then why did he look so broken upon seeing her after his fight? He would've just tried to fight her with everything he had unless it was an act? If it was an act then how is Rei willing to go for so long for a friendship like theirs? Was it the odd benefits or was it something that she still needed to uncover?
Only time could tell as she heard the side of his story of how he became power drunk with his prowess and dominated his former middle school in the Philippines before being expelled then transferring here.
Sylvie understood immediately why he acted as a 'blank' upon transferring to Hong Kong as the pressure of being someone as a god-tier would've gotten him to relapse almost immediately after trying to change.
Despite his status being revealed, she didn't care as the only thing that mattered to her was repaying him with the kindness he showed her by staying by his side and helping him cope with his problems better than from before.
Even when things went south with them arguing despite how much his words hurt her, she never gave up just like how he didn't when he was doing his best to open her up for more things that she had never explored before such as finding more hobbies to entertain herself or she's interested in.
Sylvie wanted to help him just like as much as she can to support him for everything that he has done with her since the beginning, especially with her personality changes that allowed her to bond with her mother and sister even closer than before.
It was the only thing that she could do for him until the time comes where she has to put more things into it to keep their bond close and tight then maybe they could discover more things along the way.

Sylvie was chuckling to herself when recalling everything while she was telling them the way how she changed from having Rei enter her life. Jinah and Ha-Eun were either giggling at how the magenta haired girl talked like a maiden in love with someone who was out of her league.
Meanwhile, Eunji and Rinka were just amused with how Sylvie was recalling her story of meeting Rei and her life. The two seniors wondered if what they had just heard just now was a drama show or anime that they would often watch but decided not to judge it especially when their own aspects in life may sound the same as a plot for something.
"Sounds like you really like him a lot. You sure that you two are just friends?" Jinah teased as she playfully nudged her arm against the magenta haired girl although her blushing face had already given them the answer.
"OH MY?!" Jinah gasped while Ha-Eun was squealing for Sylvie, "ARE YOU IN LOVE WITH HIM?!" The brown haired girl asked as the magenta haired girl could only nod her head in agreement.
"Yeah… I'm surprised with it since you know… our odd situationship…" Sylvie said as Jinah and Ha-Eun patted her back, agreeing with her since an odd friendship like hers that blossomed into something even more to the point of desiring to be lovers was surprising.
The magenta haired girl was wondering for a moment, trying to understand what she should do with her situation. If she tries to confess, it would most likely be an awkward silence with them either accepting it or denying which could cause their bond to shatter for which she is not willing to happen.
"So, what are you gonna do about it?" Ha-Eun asked which brought the room to silence as Eunji and Rinka who were supposed to prepare for the afternoon classes were now interested with how Sylvie would answer her.
The magenta haired girl sighed deeply, thinking lots of scenarios and choices in her head before Rei came into her mind with almost the same question given to him except for the topic itself.
"I'll just enjoy the moment until the time comes." Sylvie answered, remembering how calm and genuine he was when answering it.
Ha-Eun felt satisfied although her fangirl side was craving for more of the magenta haired girl's love life. Jinah, on the other hand, was debating internally whether to find ways for Rei and Sylvie to bind but decided not to since she cannot just pressure the two to enter a relationship immediately especially with the recent events then the fact that the male is planning to be a sorcerer while the latter is choosing to be a lawyer.
"Good answer. It's time for you guys to eat." Eunji calls out before inviting them all to the dining room to start their brunch while Rinka helps her to get the cooked meal to the plate.

Sylvie clenched her fist, already wearing her academy uniform after eating brunch and resting. "I'll never give up on you. Because I am Sylvie Seraphim. A proud lawyer and woman who'll step up for my pride. Especially when I'm going to stand by your side." The magenta haired girl exclaimed to herself before going into the living room upon grabbing her bag and a couple of stuff for her class.
The girls were all ready as they chatted for a while since they still have a small time left to relax before the afternoon class starts. Laughing and joking with each other especially with Jinah continues to tease Sylvie with intimate jokes regarding the positions of how Rei and the magenta haired girl should do next time.

"Stop fxcking walking around my room half naked!" Eunji said to Rinka who was walking with her polo shirt on while nothing underneath her except for the blue panties.
"I know that we're in our own dorm room but at least have some decency." The strawberry blonde stated while the orange brown haired girl stuck out her tongue in response, playfully teasing her in a childish behaviour.
Eunji sighed as she changed her clothes, removing her casual wear as she had put on her polo shirt. The black polo shirt as she had decided to wear the assault division uniform instead of going to the locker room later to change.
"By the way, Eunji…" Rinka called out as the strawberry blonde sighed deeply, "What?" Eunji responded back as she was already annoyed with Rinka's playful behaviour to a degree but still tolerated it since she is used to it already from their friendship.
"Did you always have a pet fox or what?" Her question made Eunji confused as she wondered what she meant before catching a glimpse of a black fox on her bed with blood red tips on the tail.
"What the fxck? How did that get in here?" Eunji uttered as both her and Rinka stared at each other, dumbfounded although they were immediately caught off guard when the animal showed the other two tails.
"Am I rude if I interrupted you two or am I rude for staying quiet while watching the two of you change clothes?" A voice that Eunji recognises as she immediately covered herself up with her hands while Rinks was still confused with how the fox was talking.

Sylvie was laughing with her friends as Jinah and Ha-Eun were talking before they heard a girly scream out from Eunji's room as they decided to leave. The magenta haired girl assumed that Rinka was up to another antics while Ha-Eun agreed since she knew her sister's friend was being mischievous.
"Let's go I guess…" The magenta haired girl said as they left the room, heading for the next class while Rei was confused with why Eunji was blushing upon arriving at the assault division classroom along with Rinka who still looked dumbfounded.
"Did you do something?" The male asked Keith through his mental link, "Perharps…"
Rei shook his head, pinching the bridge of his nose. "You know what. I'm not gonna ask." He uttered before resuming with his own work.
