The commotion was over as every person in the room had finally relaxed and was able to get their bearings back to themselves, Rinka and Jinwoo who immediately went to try handcuffing Keene but Rei raised his hand towards them. Signalling that he'll do it himself as he prepared the handcuff.
"You asked why I confessed to something that I didn't do right?" Rei asked as Keene nodded his head weakly.
"That's because it's the truth. I basically volunteered to commit involuntary manslaughter by not ensuring enough. I knew I hit a soul force from what you people call as some sort of adrenaline or power boost yet I thought that maybe we'll get saved by senior Eunji or Rinka. In the end, I let the 'Fallen' to get a hold on me before killing those bastards who killed my friends and took Sylvie's prowess away." Rei answered as he recalled the memory of that day, his stubbornness that refused to go down until he himself let go which led to that outcome.
The male closed his eyes for a second, the guilt slowly unveiling itself as he recalled how he cope with it by suicide then redirected anger through killing from the execution missions. "Yet, I could've improved myself by taking a different turn by either joining senior Eunji or Rinka but I took a path where killing was involved. Given a lot of freedom to cope yet I used that to justify my anger and goals to simply protect Sylvie but here I am excusing my own weakness." Rei said as the people in the room looked at him with pity yet couldn't help themselves but see someone who was sacrificial and one who endured everything to themselves, one who carried the burden and never asked for help.
"That's why I confessed. I knew what I did wrong yet I didn't stop. I continued to sin when I could've redeemed myself by looking over at everyone's safety but I chose to destroy which I blinded myself to justify my own actions to think it was to protect her or everyone when in the end it was just my own coping for what I've lost." Rei continued before looking at Keene, the lawyer who looked shocked at the young adult in front of him which made him see himself in Rei.
The agony, stressed and lost teenage or young adult of himself that struggled and worked hard to get into this position. He could only see Rei as someone who went through heaven and hell to find something worth living. It was like watching a king who sacrificed themselves to protect the people in their own kingdom while enduring the harsh criticism thrown at home from both sides.
"So, that's why I confessed. It's because that it's never too late for anyone to try a change in their life." Rei said, his mind looking over to how he grew up from a harsh environment to now, then watching how Sylvie changed because of him.
"I have to be selfish to see what kind of redemption or what's worth to see living." He added before placing the handcuff on Keene's hands, making the lawyer shocked at how Rei was gentle with his actions and words. "It's why living is a tragedy and happiness. We live to feel and experience pain in order to grow. That's why I'll continue living despite how hard times goes on." Rei said as Keene sighed, letting out a single tear drop down as he felt the immense guilt and stress pouring out of him.
Rei knew to let the guy cry out his feelings but he had a different choice since he never knew the guy personally as he looked Keon, giving him the look that they should take care of things.
The red haired male immediately run towards them as Keene leaned towards to Keon who caught him, allowing him to cry on his shoulders. "It's alright. You're so goddamn strong you know?" Keon said as Keene uttered and sobbed, "How can I be strong? I broke and killed them when I couldn't just resolved it peacefully yet I just went out of my mind to do all this."
Keon hugged him tightly, hands patting down Keene's back to reassure the lawyer. "You are so fxcking strong cause I would've broke down immediately yet you still held on. I'm proud of you brother." The red haired male said as Keene cried loudly, letting everything out.
Rei watched the two reconcile before he was tackled to the ground by Sylvie, he thought that the magenta haired girl was about to cry before seeing her face in pure anger. "Oh fxck…" He uttered to himself internally as Keith could only laugh at him through their mental link before Sylvie started to punch his chest as hard as she can despite the obvious differences between an awakener and a 'blank' while she was scolding him with all her might.
"You have a suicide wish or what?" Rinka asked before ruffling Rei's hair, completely impressed with his actions. "If you are that desperate to die. At least live a life where you don't regret passing away will you?" She added with a joking manner as Rei chuckled softly, genuine smile which made the orange girl glad with how Rei had gotten so far into this situation. From September to the now November where Rei used to be hesitant and just someone who wanted to finish things quickly then now one who had no moment of hesitation and was someone who carried a heavy burned along his own responsibility as a sorcerer.
"Tough fxcker. Makes me really realise what it really means to be a sorcerer and be strong." Rinka thought to herself as the barrier around them started to diminish slowly, they could see Eunji and a couple of enforcers dashing into the room.
"Is everyone okay?" Eunji asked as Jinwoo answered for all of them that they were fine but mental trauma could linger around to those who were involved directly to the earlier situation.
Malcolm, on the other hand had an outburst. Demanding to arrest Keene while filing an attempted murder along with Rei's ongoing trial which was totally right before everyone in the room was shocked when he was slapped none other by his own father.
"F-Father?" The arrogant male called out in disbelief, seeing the disappointment on his father's face. "Enough. Have you got no shame? You were close to death upon reaching that verdict and yet the one who saved you or so everyone was the one you filed against in the first place." The man said before clicking his own tongue, "At first, I hated the fact of an outsider who's also a vessel who fought my son but now that I saw the evidence of what really happened…" Malcolm's father had his fist shaking in anger while glaring at his own son.
"I have to admit my own mistake for allowing his childish to continue. Forgive us for our manners in behalf of our son while also disciplining this man-child for the troubles that he had caused for the two of you." Malcolm's father said, directly to both Sylvie and Rei.
"Now then, please excuse us." Malcolm's father said before activating his prowess, eyes glowing bright as he glared at his own son. "I believe that I have things to handle affairs at home."

Hours later after the commotion with things ending better with Keene being escorted to the enforced while being interrogated fairly with enforcers that were actually doing their job while Eunji, Jinwoo, Rinka and Keon were handling on trying their best to arrest every corrupt enforcers in the vicinity.
Meanwhile, Rei was resting at his dorms with Sylvie sitting on his lap. "Are you really gonna stay here all day when you're supposed to go to classes?" He teased her as he was clicking on his laptop, scrolling through any entertainment as Rei put the note of investigating his family bloodline on halt.
"Yeah. Got a problem?" Sylvie grumbled, noting her cuteness making her look adorable rather than how the magenta haired girl was trying her best to look mad and scary.
Rei chuckled before giving her a headpat, "Nope. It's just you look really cute like that." He said which made her flustered before punching him lightly on the chest.
"Damn. That's smooth. Mind if I can use that?" Keith asked through the mental link as Rei sighed, knowing who was the unfortunate person who'll have to hear it. "Yeah. Just don't annoy them…" Rei grumbled to himself which confused Sylvie before she realised what he meant.
"Annoyed with that old fart?" She asked which Rei nodded his head before Keith manifested a mouth on his cheek, "Dare to call me that again. I'll write every single detail of your lovemaking and make a book out of it."
Rei and Sylvie sweatdropped at the threat, surprised and embarrassed at the fact that the 'Fallen' was seeing and hearing everything that the two of them were doing which made them contemplate whether to ignore the fact or just accept it.
"Just stop listening or watching then." Sylvie mocked before the 'Fallen' retorted back, "Not my fault if you two have such interesting positions that even I don't even know in my days."
The ridiculous retaliation made Rei and Sylvie stop arguing with the ancient being. "Just don't do it too much. I can't just block everything since I'm also your boyfriend's advance security." The being added before the mouth disappeared and went back to Rei's normal cheeks.

Meanwhile, Malcolm had just been finished getting himself beaten by his father. The humiliation and shame drowning him as he was desperate to get his revenge back to Rei. In the moment of that trial, Malcolm had the chance to record Rei's trial when facing against Keene.
It was a clear quality since the domain had only cut connection from the outside world which made him relieved to that fact. "If I'm going down, then so do you!" The male smirked to himself before sending the entire video to Haru.

Haru had just finished his training, disappointed at how he couldn't even have his trial started since the entire thing was a mess and all charges were dropped down according to some of the enforcers and authorities that didn't let corruption take them.
His phone vibrated which made him annoyed before smiling, "Would you like at that? Looks like I can still get things down." Haru smirked to himself before calling Neon to start making a scandal out of the video that he had just received from Malcolm.

However, it turned out to be futile as more people in the academy started to sided with Rei for his selfish sacrifice and his own worth that made everyone started to take things seriously for their careers whether or not they were choosing to be a sorcerer or sorceress.
Meanwhile, Rei was having a dilemma when he had arrived at the headmaster's office. He was called for an emergency meeting which he didn't expect since he saw the scandal of a video on the morning.
But what stood in front of him were the parents of Erika, Haruki and Hinata. They had the expression of hate and discrimination at him.
