The trio arrived at the academy safely prior to Jinwoo's insistence to at least escort them back at least. They went to the headmaster's office immediately to report while Rei was handing out the relic carefully before the whole thing broke by itself which made everyone in the room shocked.
The spiritual energy emitting from it had gone into Rei's body almost instantly as the male was trying his best to not have any difficulties standing out properly and could feel himself heating up which caught Eunji's attention.
"Headmaster Sho. I'll escort Rei to the infirmary while Rinka and Jinwoo will handle the rest of the report for you. Rei and I will send our statement in the report later once he's done checking up in the infirmary." She said while helping Rei to stand up properly before excusing herself to go to the infirmary.

Rei could feel himself burning up as if his body was still trying to adjust to the sensation of Keith growing even more powerful than before. "Let me guess. The sixth tail is gonna be much worse than this…" He muttered internally while the ancient being responded back sarcastically, "Obviously. You mortals ain't built to hold such powers like us."
The male rolled his eyes as Eri was putting up IV tubes on his arms while also using her prowess to scan if there were any injuries that were happening in his body before halting and her eyes widening.
"Rei. Color me interested but are there any other people in your family that are involved in shadow?" The female nurse asked while Rei was handed a tonic from Elliot.
"Only my mother. I'm not sure if she's involved with shadow manipulation to a degree but I did see her use one. Why?" He responded while drinking the tonic immediately after answering Eri.
"No reason. Although, we still need to check your body again once you have adjusted upon inheriting the fifth tail." The white haired girl said before excusing herself to go on the computer to write her analysis.
"Never saw her act like that." Elliot commented while he was checking Rei's vitality. "Really?" Rei asked while moving his left hand, checking his control by flexing it around.
"Yeah. The only time she's like that was when she saw Eunji almost beaten to death by Neon."
Rei's eyebrow twitched at the name as he started to wonder why the green haired male was obsessed with Eunji in the same way as Keith except for the slight degree of not pushing too far. "Oh. Wait. Why is Neon always after her?" Rei asked, curiosity eating him as Elliot sighed.
"The whole academy already knows this but I guess we should let you know as well. Neon and Eunji are supposed to be in an arranged marriage."
Rei's eyes widened at his statement, "Arranged Marriage?! Why is he hurting her then?!" He demanded as Elliot responded back with a heavy sigh before continuing.
"Headmaster Sho intervened and had postponed the marriage which shattered Neon's pride which is why he's trying to break her physically and mentally."
The black haired male could only feel guilty for making Eunji's situation even worse with his shenanigans from the previous month before the incident then now with allowing Keith to go around with her. "I see. She must've been enduring everything then. She's strong." He commented to which Elliot scoffed.
"She is strong for a reason. I'm pretty sure she's even glowing nowadays for whatever reason but I guess it's much better to see her like this than seeing her always struggling internally and always putting up that strong façade of hers." Elliot stated to which Rei agreed on while also silently suggesting Keith to take it easy on her through their mental link.
After a long hour of staying at the infirmary, he was finally released as he went to the group that was in the cafeteria for dinner. It was a rare sight to see Rinka and Eunji joining them along with Jinwoo who was staying for a bit to see his little sister Jinah.
They were eating dinner while discussing things regarding their future careers especially with the two seniors that were graduating soon next year. Rei smiled when seeing Sylvie laughing with Ha-Eun, having fun as she should before they all felt the dreadful thing especially with the team who was out securing the relic in the first place.
A stabbing sensation around their necks as the rest were just confused while Sylvie understood the expression on Rei's face. "They're bold but why at the academy?" Rei thought to himself as he tried to activate his prowess but to no avail was working.
"Keith. Can you hear me?" He asked internally, waiting for a few seconds that turned into silence for minutes. "Shxt! Did they somehow create a variant that could shut it down temporarily?!" Rei gritted his teeth before informing the rest of the group but the chaos had just started.
Every student ran away while injured along with some unknown people that were chasing them with knives, faces covered with masks with outfits that Rei and Sylvie had recognised. Rei immediately went to help the others while Ha-Eun and Jinah grabbed Sylvie, the trio protecting themselves while Jinwoo and Rinka were also doing their best to evacuate the students away from the assailants.
Amid the chaos, Rei suddenly remembered their intentions from the earlier morning of how the events went down as he immediately ran to where Eunji was busy handling the assailants by knocking them out.
Time seemed to slow down as he called out for her. "Senior Eunji!" He reached out with his hand as a portal appeared below her, his shadows tried to reach out to her when the timer of the technique that was restricting his prowess was done. He was so close but Eunji was gone as she was dragged down onto the portal.

The headmaster was mad as he was trying his best not to destroy his office. To have them attack the academy then kidnap Eunji. It was something that made him wanna start a riot just to ensure her safety. A knock on the door before Sho looked up to see Rei entering.
"Headmaster. I'm here to report what happened from the incident." Rei said while he was obviously shaken up from how he failed to save Eunji. "Go ahead." Sho uttered as he was trying his best to be professional and not show the young man of his rage that was ready to burst.
"Before she was kidnapped, I felt a familiar spiritual energy when Eunji was pulled into the portal." Sho raised an eyebrow before allowing him to continue, "The presence was similar to a white haired male that Haru and Neon had interned with." Rei's statement ran a cold shiver down the headmaster's spine.
"I see… You're free to go." Sho said as Rei bowed in a professional manner before leaving the office. The moment he left the office, the old man had immediately crushed the flower pot, bookshelves, pens and scrolls. Flattened into the floor as if gravity was pulling them.
"You damn brat. From all the times I tried to teach you about humbleness and humanity. You still choose to do this? I'll rip that goddamn heart of yours the moment I have my hands on you! Tengen!" Sho muttered to himself, eyes glowing bright while his spiritual energy was flaring up which caught all of the academy's attention.
The pressure that they all felt immediately sent shivers down their spine for a brief moment before everything seemed to calm down after a couple of hours later.
Meanwhile, a certain dorm room had a short orange brown haired girl curl up on her bed. Knees tucked close to her chest, breathing heavily while broken cries can be heard to her alone.
"I hope she's doing okay… No. She's okay. She's gonna be fine. Please. Just let her be safe." Rinka uttered to herself, her voice weak as she was thinking of Eunji.
All she could think was the strawberry blonde sorceress to be having the worst moment of her life. Rinka could only beg and pray for her safety and wellbeing.

Eunji woke up as she felt weird. The passive ability of her prowess ain't working as she can't feel any presence of souls around her. She wondered if someone had managed to inject her with the same thing that happened to Sylvie. Her body was aching in so much pain as she tried to stand properly but could only sit down on her back against the wall behind her.

A voice called out as she immediately recognised him, Tengen Nagasaki. The man that the headmaster and Jinwoo had warned her about despite his odd status as someone to be looked upon as a hero when the two had described him to be insane.
"Tengen! What's the meaning of this!"
The man smiled before letting someone enter her cell. "What's the meaning? We need more powerful individuals in Ethereal. To ensure our kingdom's power and safety. We have to create more powerful awakeners. And you are a part of it. Let's have you bred well ~" Tengen answered in a playful manner before a giant, fat and ugly behemoth entered her cell, their genitals already out and revealed to her as they went close to her.
