Rin's feet had left the ground.
Back pressed against the rough bark, her left arm was suspended high, bound to a tree. The position was awkward, but she wasn't in mortal danger—yet.
"Rin!"
Kakashi shouted, lifting his forehead protector in a flash.
With the Sharingan exposed, the world seemed to slow down in his vision. Every twitch of the enemy's muscles, every flicker of movement—nothing escaped him.
He launched into a sprint to rescue her.
"I'm fine! Just stuck!" Rin shouted back.
She struggled, but the spider silk binding her wasn't ordinary—it felt more like braided wire, tough and unyielding. Her struggling only made the bindings dig deeper into her wrist.
Grinding her teeth, Rin drew a black kunai laced with chakra metal.
Shiiing!
She slashed at the white silk. A metallic clang rang out.
The silk bent slightly under her strike, but no matter how hard she pushed, it wouldn't break.
Her eyes widened. What is this silk made of…?
A bloodline limit?
"Hehehe… stop struggling. My spider silk could hold down two elephants if I wanted,"
boasted Kidohyou, standing atop his monstrous spider summon, cackling proudly.
Kiyohara observed coldly.
The giant brown spider under Kidohyou constantly twitched its abdomen—birthing hundreds of small spiders onto the battlefield.
That his summon?
Kiyohara's eyes narrowed at Kidohyou's six arms, dangling like arachnid legs.
This reminded him of the Sound Five—specifically Kidōmaru. That one had dark skin and six arms too.
"You're from the Spider Clan of the Land of Fields, aren't you?"
Indeed—Tano Kuni, the Land of Fields.
A micro-nation bordering the Land of Fire. Too small for a hidden village.
In the future, Orochimaru would use Tano as a base to establish Otogakure, manipulating its daimyō before betraying him entirely.
But for now, the country still stood.
It had no village—but it had ninja clans. Poor, obscure, and often forced into mercenary work to survive.
"You've heard of us, huh?" Kidohyou grinned, clearly enjoying the mix of recognition and apprehension.
He looked down arrogantly from his spider mount.
"You big nation ninjas… always starting wars for profit. While we from the small nations suffer. Farmland burned, trade routes severed—if we don't earn from capturing you, how do we survive?"
His eyes locked onto Kakashi's left eye—glowing red.
"A Sharingan… heh. That alone fetches a high price on the black market."
Kidohyou was practically drooling.
"Spider Bind Technique!"
As he spoke, his cheeks puffed. He spat out sticky white webbing that rapidly expanded toward Kakashi and Kiyohara.
Both dodged instantly.
Kakashi slammed his palms together.
Earth Release: Earth-Style Wall!
A stone wall rose—catching the full impact of the web. Cracks formed immediately.
That web packs power, Kakashi thought grimly.
He did a quick chakra check.
He'd already used one Chidori and now Earth Wall.
At most, he had enough left for two more Chidori.
He narrowed his eyes.
Then leapt into the trees.
He vaulted, rebounded, and shot down like lightning—aiming straight for Kidohyou.
Meanwhile, Kiyohara assisted.
Magnet Release: Iron Sand Spear!
He hurled a massive spear of sand to flank Kidohyou.
"Spider Flower!"
Kidohyou retaliated by firing small webs shaped like blooming flowers.
Kakashi's Sharingan tracked them all.
Chidori!
The chirping screech of lightning rang out.
Kakashi slashed the webs apart.
But there was a problem.
Even with the Sharingan's tracking, at high speeds, Chidori made controlling direction difficult.
More crucially…
Kidohyou's six arms danced.
Each hand controlled five threads—thirty threads in total.
With a blur of movement, Kidohyou wove dozens of intricate webs mid-air.
It was like a puppet master's ultimate jutsu.
Kakashi's Chidori tore through layer after layer—but slowed.
Worse, translucent strands snuck in from below—wrapping around his ankles.
He couldn't dodge in time.
Screech! The Chidori fizzled out as his wrist was bound, and he was slammed into a tree.
"Chidori you said, huh?" Kidohyou sneered, catching his breath and popping a soldier pill. "You have a Sharingan and you're not even good at genjutsu. What a waste."
He poured chakra into the silk—
Spider Cocoon!
The threads tightened like a boa constrictor. The more Kakashi struggled, the more they constricted.
"Not that easy!"
Kakashi drew a kunai and sliced.
He infused it with chakra—just like his father's blade techniques.
He managed to cut several strands—unlike Rin.
But Kidohyou laughed.
"My silk hardens in air and mixes with my chakra secretions. You think you can cut faster than I weave?"
More webs flew—wrapping Kakashi's other hand.
Now both arms were pinned.
Kiyohara hadn't been idle.
He'd already tried lightning support, but Kidohyou dodged.
"Think you two brats can beat me?"
More webs pinned Kakashi further.
Kidohyou panted, but his confidence only grew.
A little-known ninja from a tiny nation—but armed with deadly secret jutsu.
His strategy had been textbook:
-Disable the medic (Rin)
-Capture the Sharingan (Kakashi)
-Mop up the rest (Kiyohara)
What he failed to account for—
Was that Kiyohara had a bloodline limit too.
Kiyohara no longer saw a man in front of him.
He saw… a walking pile of merit points.
"A corpse—I mean, a commendation is speaking to me," he muttered.
Kidohyou stared. "…You okay, kid?"
He snapped a command—his giant spider charged.
"Magnet Release… Magnetic Field Rotation."
Kiyohara exhaled slowly.
The magnetic field moved.
Unlike last time, he could now control a wider area—perfectly syncing his chakra with the land's ambient magnetic currents.
By anchoring even a little of the magnetic field into his body, he gained tremendous control and stability.
It felt like the ground itself was fueling him.
His chakra was abundant. His body strong.
Kidohyou never saw it coming.
The spider blinked—all eight eyes saw only a fading afterimage.
Where did he—?!
Boom!
Kiyohara slammed a massive iron-sand punch into the spider's underside.
Inspired by Earth Release: Rock Fist, but made of magnetic iron sand.
The spider was blasted ten meters into the air.
As it rose—
Magnet Release: Giant Iron Sand Needle!
A black spear the size of a tree pierced through its abdomen mid-fall.
Boom!
The summon dispelled into smoke.
Even Kidohyou couldn't believe it.
He uppercutted a spider the size of a carriage… then skewered it in mid-air?!
Kiyohara exhaled.
The magnetic field had begun to spin—and now he was in complete control.
