Chapter 228 - Yun Jin Blushes, The Allure of Basketball, Mona Opens Jars

Thinking about wearing the bold outfit Miss Ying'er brought last time, Yun Jin's face turned bright red.

That was barely a piece of cloth! How could she wear it?

But Miss Ying'er had promised to modify it to be more conservative.

With that assurance, Yun Jin looked at Ying'er, her face still flushed. "I agree. But... but only on the condition that I see your modified design first. If it's anything like the previous one, I absolutely will not wear it."

"No problem."

Seeing Yun Jin agree, Ying'er smiled.

Yun Jin's consent was all she needed.

The first issue of her fashion magazine had to feature someone famous, beautiful, and cute from Liyue. And they had to be cooperative.

After scouting around, she found that Miss Yun Jin of the Yun-Han Opera Troupe was the perfect fit. That was why she had visited repeatedly.

Now that Yun Jin agreed, everything was set.

As for that extremely revealing lingerie she pulled from the Jar Shop... she would just modify it.

After all, Yun Jin was a young girl; she had to preserve some modesty.

"Then I'll be going now," Ying'er said with a sly smile.

Yun Jin had agreed, so Ying'er needed to go back and start the modifications.

After speaking, Ying'er turned and left excitedly.

Yun Jin stood there, face burning, looking at the rough draft of the magazine in her hand. Despite her embarrassment, there was a glimmer of anticipation in her eyes.

"Miss Ying'er! Miss Ying'er! What about the new service you promised?"

"Yeah, Miss Ying'er, it's been two or three days. Scent of Spring still hasn't launched anything new."

"Ever since you walked out of the Jar Shop talking about a new service, I've been waiting. But nothing!"

"Miss Ying'er, can you give us a hint? Let us know what to prepare for."

As Ying'er left the Tea House, pedestrians on the streets of Liyue called out to her expectantly.

They remembered her cryptic words after her visit to the Jar Shop.

"Don't rush, don't rush. You can't eat hot tofu if you're impatient," Ying'er teased. "Soon, soon. You lot are so impatient. Just wait for the release."

"Alright..."

Some looked disappointed at the lack of details.

Ying'er returned to Scent of Spring to work on her masterpiece.

Northland Bank.

Childe walked in excitedly, holding the [Idol Trainee Dance Video Player].

"Lord Harbinger."

Seeing Childe's happy expression, Ekaterina greeted him with a smile. "You seem in a good mood. Did you pull something good from the Jar Shop?"

If he hadn't pulled something satisfying, he wouldn't be this happy.

As for that bastard Xie Jun, Andrei was already handling him. She would report the results later.

"Yes," Childe nodded, waving the player in his hand. "I got something very interesting today. You need to watch this and learn it."

"Not just you. From now on, every new recruit sent from Snezhnaya must learn this dance. It will be part of their mandatory training."

Childe looked serious and excited.

If all Snezhnayan recruits learned this dance, their body coordination would improve rapidly. Only benefits, no downsides.

"Huh?"

Ekaterina was stunned. She stared blankly at the screen in Childe's hand.

A dance?

Every recruit has to learn it?

"Here, watch it first."

Seeing her confusion, Childe chuckled and pressed play.

The screen flickered. A person appeared.

After an opening line, the figure threw off his jacket and started dribbling a basketball.

Ekaterina watched blankly.

Why is this person moving like that?

Yet, the movements had a strange, hypnotic quality that kept her eyes glued to the screen.

Only when the trainee finished his final pose did Ekaterina snap out of it. She frowned slightly. "I have to learn this dance? But... what is that thing in his hand?"

Learning the dance wasn't an issue; it was an order.

But the object the dancer was handling... without it, the dance felt incomplete.

"He is holding a basketball. A type of balloon made of leather," Childe explained with a grin. "I'm going to have someone manufacture these today. You start learning the dance first. Master the movements."

"Yes," Ekaterina nodded.

She began practicing the dance in the lobby of the Northland Bank, mimicking the trainee on the screen.

"You too."

Childe patted Nadia, the guard at the door. "Learn it with Ekaterina."

"Yes," Nadia agreed, confused but obedient. She joined Ekaterina in the lobby to learn the Idol Dance.

"Now, I need to get a basketball made. I'll go to the craftsman myself."

Childe watched his subordinates dance for a moment, then decided to handle the equipment personally.

If he sent someone else, they might mess up the specifications.

He left the bank and soon arrived at a workshop.

"Hello, customer," the owner greeted him. "What do you need?"

"I need a ball made of leather. Like a balloon, but with a leather exterior and filled with air. It should be orange, if possible. If not, any color works."

Childe described the basketball while sketching it out. The owner was confused at first but understood once he saw the drawing.

"No problem," the owner chuckled. "Please wait a moment. It's easy to make."

It sounded simple enough. Just a leather balloon.

"Good."

Childe nodded and waited.

About an hour later, the owner returned with an orange leather ball.

Childe was delighted.

It looked almost exactly like the one in the video.

"Customer, how is this?" The owner handed it over. "The leather color isn't quite the right shade of orange, but it's the best I had."

"I am very satisfied."

Childe handed over a thousand Mora. "Keep the change. Make more of these. As many as you can. I'll send someone to pick them up later."

As he spoke, Childe started spinning the basketball on his finger.

It spun smoothly. He could feel his finger muscles adjusting to keep it balanced. This would definitely improve his dexterity.

"Thank you!" The owner beamed.

Such an easy job for so much Mora. He rushed back inside to mass-produce these "basketballs."

Childe walked out, spinning the ball on his finger as he headed back to the bank.

Whirrrr.

The ball spun steadily, defying gravity under his skilled control.

"Uh, what is that thing?"

"Yeah, what is that? Why is it spinning on his finger?"

"I don't know. Looks interesting."

"It looks fun. Where did he get it?"

"I saw him come out of Old Jiang's workshop. Maybe Old Jiang made it?"

Passersby on the streets of Liyue stared in fascination.

Thump. Thump. Thump.

Suddenly, Childe stopped spinning it and started dribbling.

Every time the ball hit the ground, it made a satisfying thump and bounced back to his hand.

Thump. Thump. Thump.

Childe dribbled rhythmically all the way back to the bank, a bright smile on his face.

The act of dribbling felt surprisingly satisfying. His body felt loose and comfortable.

This basketball was truly interesting.

"Holy crap, what is that? It looks so fun!"

Someone exclaimed. "I'm going to Old Jiang's to see if he sells them!"

"Wait for me! I'm coming too!"

Several people ran toward the workshop.

Back at the Jar Shop.

Felix looked at the newcomer.

"Miss Mona, here to open jars?" he asked with a faint smile.
