Chapter 30 - “The Beginning of the End”

Omni verse

The moment everyone had been waiting for had finally arrived—the final battle of the tournament. The audience could no longer fit into the stands, and both the Warriors and the Western heroes had fully recovered, gathering at the front to watch the final match. The battle between Pugo and Akiro created huge anticipation. Pugo and Akiro stepped into their sides of the arena, and Pugo eagerly waited for the match to begin. After a long speech, the referee counted down from three and the battle began instantly. Pugo launched the first attack, but this time Akiro also attacked immediately, activating his volcanic technique from the very first second, turning his hand into lava and throwing magma flames toward Pugo. Pugo ducked, and the attacks went under the stands, causing explosions, but the audience was protected by a barrier. Pugo then used Glorious Time, jumping ten steps forward and summoning his blue energy serpent. In response, Akiro used volcanic eruptions, combining multiple flames into a beam that clashed with the serpent, but the serpent fired beams from its mouth and overpowered the lava. It attacked again, but Akiro destroyed it with a volcanic lava punch. Pugo was surprised, yet even though the serpent was destroyed, it exploded and slightly damaged Akiro, who quickly regenerated using volcanic energy. Pugo continued attacking with sword strikes, but Akiro used volcanoes as shields, and every strike caused intense heat damage to Pugo. Pugo stood up again and tried to approach, but Akiro placed his hand on the ground and summoned volcanic beams like meteors from above, sending flaming attacks toward him. Pugo used his intelligence, spinning his sword to create a shield and reducing the damage as much as possible, while the battle became more intense and the audience shouted wildly. Luka began analyzing Akiro and started thinking about his weaknesses. At that moment, Akiro began gaining the upper hand, firing more volcanic beams, and although Pugo dodged most of them, one hit him and caused severe burning pain. Akiro then created magma spheres and launched them upward, while Pugo stood up, saw them, and used Glorious Time to jump toward them, and although Akiro followed using volcanic power, he was too late, and Pugo destroyed the spheres with his energy serpent, causing a massive explosion that affected both fighters. Akiro immediately attacked with a volcanic punch, but Pugo dodged at the last second, and the punch pierced through the ground behind him, causing another explosion. At that moment, Luka understood Akiro's weakness and approached Pugo to give him advice. Luka said that Akiro's weakness was carelessness, explaining that Akiro failed to predict Pugo's movements when setting traps and only focused directly on his opponent, not considering different possibilities, and Pugo understood that he needed to trap him and thanked Luka, while Luka reminded him that they were a team and believed in him. Pugo then acted on Luka's advice, dodging Akiro's volcanic beams by jumping upward and repositioning himself with Glorious Time before leaping again and using Time Freeze to stop Akiro, then summoning his energy serpent to strike Akiro multiple times and finishing with a beam attack. Akiro became furious and created ten volcanic fists, attacking Pugo repeatedly from a distance and dealing heavy damage, causing Pugo's eyes to turn white and blood to come from his mouth. Despite already having the advantage, Akiro became even more serious and activated Hekari Level 3, making his attacks faster and more destructive. Pugo tried to defend himself by spinning his sword as a shield, but it no longer worked, and Akiro's attacks overwhelmed him, tearing parts of his cloak and armor and leaving him unable to move. Akiro, empowered by Hekari, looked unstoppable like a machine, but Pugo still managed to stand up and continue fighting, and the battle went on for a long time without the audience losing focus for even a second. Pugo continued attacking with his energy serpent, but Akiro destroyed each one and was unaffected by the explosions, while Pugo kept dodging Akiro's volcanic attacks. Eventually, both fighters stopped, and Pugo collapsed from exhaustion, but at that moment the spirit of his grandfather Walker appeared and told him not to give up and to always find new techniques within his energy. Pugo did not fully understand but tried to gather his energy, glowing as he attempted again and again, failing at least seven times while Akiro continued attacking, forcing Pugo to both dodge and charge energy at the same time, and slowly Pugo began losing hope as he realized he might lose. Akiro formed a massive volcanic fist and attacked, but at that moment a miracle happened, Pugo dodged and blue lightning began to surge around him, shocking everyone, and Pugo created a massive energy sphere and threw it at Akiro, who responded with a gigantic volcanic sphere, leading to an intense clash where neither could overpower the other, until a massive explosion destroyed the entire arena and reduced everything to rubble, smoke, and debris. The Western heroes jumped down to reach Akiro, and the Warriors rushed toward Pugo, but instead of seeing them injured, they saw that both Pugo and Akiro were completely unharmed, their wounds gone and their clothes restored, and beside them stood Eldor. Pugo and Akiro stared in shock as Eldor suddenly grabbed Pugo and teleported away, and as everyone turned around, they saw something even worse, as Eldor's Croc-Blade army had taken all the spectators hostage and 250,000 soldiers had occupied the arena, while a giant statue of Eldor stood above them containing a signal device connected to an atomic bomb coming from space that would destroy the entire Volcanic Universe in three hours. The heroes were cornered, but Luka drew his sword and motivated everyone to fight. Meanwhile, Eldor and Pugo appeared in a beautiful forest, where Eldor revealed that he had been waiting for this moment and that he was not a monster but a Croko, shocking Pugo, and as they faced each other, Ludos watched from his dark castle through a device while receiving new information from his assistant and sending it to Eldor, who smiled and spoke to Pugo, asking if he was Walker's grandson and whether he knew his father, which shocked Pugo, who denied everything and accused Eldor of lying, but Eldor told him that if he wanted the truth, he would have to defeat him. They both took their stances, while Ludos entered the Tower of Death, where eight dark doors stood, and after picking up a dark scroll, he declared that the end was near, explaining that if Eldor defeated Pugo and Luka failed to reach him, he would rule all universes, but if not, then the ending would be long and entertaining, because only Walker and his son could defeat him, while Pugo could not, and Luka would lose if he failed to awaken his dark powers, and he added that his creatures were growing stronger every day and that even worse beings than him existed and would appear in the future, meaning that either good or evil would face an unexpected ending, and they would all have to wait and see.

So, who will win—Eldor or Pugo, and will everyone in the Volcanic Universe die?
