"Hah… your identity is quite reasonable, but I wasn't involved in Parvis, that madman's, conspiracy. If you're looking for revenge, go find the Director, don't drag me into it; I'm just an innocent, cute little bird—but you, you're really interesting. If you kill the Director, have you considered cooperating with me?"
However, after understanding Goki's true power, Muelsyse / Muir Sais became even more curious and moved closer to Goki, reaching out to pat his firm chest.
"Don't even think about it; your struggle is your own business. I actually hope the Director hasn't gone mad—hand your phone to Saria."
Goki ignored Muelsyse / Muir Sais's suggestion, took out his own phone, and prepared to call Muelsyse / Muir Sais.
"Huh? You haven't fallen for that dangerous woman, have you? You can't bring yourself to harm any beautiful woman with big breasts—do you really think with your lower body?"
Muelsyse / Muir Sais rolled her eyes at Goki but still did as Goki commanded.
"Although the Director is indeed not as annoying as Parvis, still… if that woman keeps investigating these dangerous things, I think she will invite disaster prematurely, you know, all people doing scientific research are like this."
Muelsyse / Muir Sais, despite respecting the Director's knowledge, wouldn't miss an opportunity to become the Director herself.
"Go to hell. I've killed quite a few women—of course I understand. No one understands these scholars better than I do."
Goki shrugged, noncommittal.
From Yharnam to Terra, Goki had seen many scholars researching gods—and apparently, none of them were good.
Not to mention the fake Iosefka, even the Pale Witch, Archdeacon Amelia, Goki didn't hesitate when he slew her—although in the game, her model was directly recycled from the Bell Maiden's ghostly appearance, in reality, she was indeed very beautiful.
Beautiful as she was, compared to the harmless Vileblood Queen whose head was even encased in metal, Amelia and the Healing Church had to be eradicated, so Goki decisively killed the sister to prove his Dao—or more accurately, killed the sheep to prove his Dao.
However, after reading the Director's experimental records from the past decade, Goki indeed hesitated.
If Parvis, that madman, was more like Micolash, who would stop at nothing for power, then the Director's research process was more rational and conservative, more like Great Master Willem—no, even slightly better.
Willem's ultimate goal was also Ascension, while the Director's goal was to prevent Terra from suffering divine calamities, at least hoping that some people would survive the divine calamities.
The third umbilical cord made her understand the existence of the Great One, and years of research made her fear the threats faced by the world; boundless fear permeated every line of her experimental records.
She was Kaltsit's student, and like her teacher, she lacked the human touch of Saria and Silence, but her experimental records revealed the same rationality and moral values as her teacher.
The experimental records showed that her experimental subjects were always only herself, and she even implanted the power of starry blood into herself.
Only when she realized the path was blocked did she find Ifrit, her sole experimental subject.
Her moral bottom line was above Saria's, but if she truly was a madwoman like Parvis... Saria would probably have been fired long ago.
The Director transplanted a small section of the third umbilical cord into Ifrit; Goki had expectations from the offspring of different gods, and that particular one, coincidentally, belonged to the Moon Presence.
Even if very weak, Ifrit also gained some of the power of paleblood, allowing her to withstand the power of the Ifrit, and possibly even the power of other Great Ones.
In a sense, the relationship between Ifrit and Goki, from a mystical perspective... was father and daughter, no, it should be "Great One and Offspring."
And Goki had never expected that the Sarkaz, this "cursed race," would have such a strong affinity with gods.
—Of course, the Director's actions were still despicable.
But at least, in the face of the threat of the Great One, humanity was on the same side.
"What I'm worried about is whether the Director is still the Director. If her mind, after years of erosion by the power of the Great One, has already collapsed due to fear, or even been corrupted... then we will have to face yet another divine calamity."
Picking up the Director's last experimental record, looking at the somewhat messy handwriting, Goki was more concerned about whether he was going to kill a person or hunt a monster, rather than whether to kill a sister to prove his Dao.
Did she control the starry blood, or did the starry blood control her—that was the question.
"Forget it, let Kaltsit and Saria decide this matter—let's go."
Wrapping his arm around Muelsyse / Muir Sais's Clone's slender waist, Goki looked at the now empty secret warehouse and quickly walked out, not even bothering to close the door.
"We're leaving, bye-bye—you can be more confident."
Stepping out of the warehouse, Goki smiled slightly at the soldier on guard duty in the security room.
"You two take care, huh? You two?"
The Nona Perro's face first instinctively flushed red, then she was stunned by Goki's attire and the petite woman he held by the waist.
Crash—
And in the end, she watched in some surprise as the colleague she had always admired, who was like an elder brother, walked to the floor-to-ceiling window in the corridor, delivered a full-force blow, and easily shattered the window.
Large raindrops, accompanied by strong winds, directly slammed into the room from the window twenty stories high, while Goki smiled and took out the green slug in his hand, and amidst Muelsyse / Muir Sais's Incarnation's kicking and struggling, he bowed to the Nona Perro in the security room.
"Hey, hey, hey? Don't drag me into this, Goki, you pervert, you deviant, what do you want to do——Ah ah ah ah!"
The next second, a long tentacle grabbed a window pillar, simultaneously wrapping around Goki's arm.
And Goki, with a leap towards the ground nearly a hundred meters below, accompanied by Muelsyse / Muir Sais's screams and the howling wind and rain, rapidly descended towards the Structure Department floor.
"Looks like I won't get this week's salary, what a shame."
