Chapter 92 - Chapter 91: Truth or Dare

When Mufasa went to the South Mountain Nursing Home again to find the old man who had given him the statues of the seven, others told him that he had already passed away and his body had been cremated.

However, before he died, he said that his belongings could be given to Mufasa.

Mufasa brought his belongings back to The Red Keep.

Inside was a map: a star chart.

On it was a sentence: "When the stars are right, the day the seven descend."

"Could this be referring to Cthulhu and his kin, sleeping in Rlyeh deep in the ocean, who will awaken when the stars are right? Are they the true form of the seven?" Mufasa had a bold guess.

"If they really wake up, it will be a disaster for the world! How can I stop them?" Mufasa thought.

In the end, Mufasa decided to "fight gods with gods."

Mufasa paused his alchemy, instead collecting a large amount of silver and melting it into a giant cross.

Then he hollowed out the cores of two pieces of wood and encased the silver cross in a layer of wood.

Mufasa placed this silver cross where he had buried the statues of the seven.

"To Yahweh, Cthulhu should be a strange god. I hope the two of them can fight, and use the power of the cross to suppress Cthulhu's awakening," Mufasa said.

Later, Mufasa felt it wasn't safe enough, so he used a lot of manpower and resources to build a monastery on the land where the statues of the seven were buried.

However, it didn't worship the seven here, but rather Jesus.

"Are you creating a new belief system?" Melisandre asked curiously, watching Mufasa directing the construction workers.

"Is there a problem with that?" Mufasa asked.

"I just think you are doing it too late. If you had been born thousands of years ago and done something like this, perhaps you could have really started a new religion."

"But now, the power of faith in Westeros is not enough to go around. The seven, the old gods, the Drowned God, and other gods! They won't allow you to steal their believers."

"You don't know the power of Christianity. It will gradually erode the faith of the seven," Mufasa said.

In the following months, Mufasa built the monastery while continuing his alchemy.

At the same time, he also sold several valyrian steel swords.

Edmure of Riverrun bought one, the Frey family of The Twins also bought one, and Lord Beric of the Dornish Marches also bought one.

Roose Bolton of the Dreadfort also bought one, and Lord Manderly of White Harbor also bought one.

Lord Redwyne of The Arbor bought one, Lord Balon of the Iron Islands bought one, and even Robert bought a valyrian steel hammer from Mufasa on credit.

Mufasa converted the money he earned into silver, then into gold, making a fortune all at once.

After the monastery was built, Mufasa let some people from the South Mountain Nursing Home live there; after all, the entire monastery needed people to take care of it.

The High Sparrow served as the first bishop. He announced to others that Mufasa was a prophet, the Son of God, the Savior, and the embodiment of saintly ideas.

For a time, Mufasa became a hot topic of discussion among the common people in King's Landing and the nearby Crownlands.

His popularity skyrocketed.

It was also during these few months that Willas of House Tyrell stood up on his own; he could finally walk on his own two feet again.

The entire Rose family was very happy, and they invited some people to be guests, among whom was Mufasa.

That evening, Mufasa rode his bicycle and brought Myrcella with him to House Tyrell again.

They received the most grand hospitality.

"Ser Mufasa, I am so glad you could come!" Margaery said happily upon seeing Mufasa.

She excitedly led Mufasa inside.

"Congratulations on your brother's recovery! I hope he gets married soon, has children, and continues the bloodline of House Tyrell," Mufasa said.

"Thank you!" she replied with a smile.

At the banquet, after the dancing started, Mufasa danced with seven or eight different noble ladies one after another.

Then he found an opportunity to go out and take a break.

When Mufasa walked under the shade of a tree to urinate, he heard the conversation between two Kingsguard.

"The Great Council is about to end. The King and many lords have reached an agreement. They are about to send troops Beyond the Wall."

"Yes, I also want to stain my sword with more wildling blood!"

"Wildlings are one thing, but things like White Walkers—without a valyrian steel sword, we are no match. Should we ask Mufasa to buy one on credit?"

"A Lannister always pays his debts! If we buy on credit, I'm afraid we won't be able to pay it back later. What should we do?"

"Then let's pledge loyalty to House Lannister in secret and exchange our loyalty for a sword. How about that?"

"I'll consider it. After all, I still value the reputation of the Kingsguard."

The conversation between the two Kingsguard ended here, and they never discovered Mufasa.

"Even the Kingsguard are afraid of the White Walkers, let alone the ordinary soldiers. I should find a way to boost morale," Mufasa thought.

After returning to the banquet, Mufasa saw Margaery, Sansa, and Myrcella chatting and laughing.

Beside them, several noble youths were currying favor. They were saying things like:

"Lady Sansa, your red hair is beautiful; you inherited the excellent genes of your mother's Tully family!"

"Princess Myrcella's long golden hair is also beautiful, likewise inheriting the charming lineage of the Queen's House Lannister!"

However, they were not interested in these suitors; each of them scanned the room, seeming to be looking for someone.

When they all saw Mufasa at the same time, they clicked over in their high heels, da da da.

"I don't want to dance anymore!" Mufasa said quickly. He admitted that when it came to shopping and dancing, he was no match for women.

"Who wants to dance? Let's go play playing cards together. It's been a while, let me win a round today!" Myrcella said.

Ever since she was exposed to playing cards, she felt that gambling could actually be so interesting.

The group went to a quiet room where no one would disturb them. Margaery dismissed the others and took out a deck of playing cards with rose patterns on the back.

"Come on! Let's see who is the Card King tonight." She slammed the playing cards onto the table with a flourish.

"However, we can't gamble with money today; we have to bet on something special?" Myrcella said, lowering her gaze.

"Bet on what?"

"How about Truth or Dare?" she said.

"Sure! Come on!" Sansa agreed.

The group then started shuffling, dealing, looking at cards, and playing.

Mufasa had good luck and won two rounds in a row. He learned a secret about Margaery and Sansa respectively.

Margaery's secret was that her grandmother had once stolen someone else's husband, which was why she became the mother of Mace Tyrell.

"The Queen of Thorns, truly lives up to her reputation! What a heroine among women!" Mufasa exclaimed.

He learned from Sansa that Catelyn Tully often went out to meet Baelish in private, and Eddard Stark didn't even know. This was also important information for Mufasa.

Perhaps there was some collusion between Baelish and Catelyn.
