Chapter 143 - chapter 143

Meanwhile, Clad, Jill, and Adonis prepared themselves to go into the dungeon realm, but were quickly reminded that they were missing a full party, which was a minimum of 20 people.

Clad sighed as he felt that things were unnecessarily difficult, with Jill thinking of finding 17 other people, which Adonis agreed to do.

"Adonis, don't you know how to join a party?" Clad asked him.

...?

"No, I don't."

"Why are you asking me?" Adonis replied.

"Because last time you were at the half-giant lady's party, were you?"

"That time they invited me."

"That was a sheer coincidence." He replied as they decided to find out for themselves.

So the three of them asked the guild receptionist how to join a raid party, and he told them that they would need to fill out a simple paper with their face on it, their classes, and their reason for going into the dungeon realm, then wait for an answer from someone who's looking for members.

"And how long would that take?" Clad asked him as he replied that it usually takes a few minutes, but sometimes it could be hours or days.

"Okay, then we'll do ours now."

"Alright then, follow me." The receptionist said as he guided them into another room away from the busy halls, where they got pictures taken of them and put them on a wall made for recruitment.

[Clad (Swordsman), Jill Darkheid (Tank), Adonis Fonti (Warrior)]

[Available for hunting Quetz]

The three looked at their profiles before the receptionist gave them rings that he said would alert them if people were looking for them specifically for this raid.

"Alright, thanks!" Clad said they started to leave the adventurer's guild when they suddenly heard shouting from the other side of the place.

"Wait!!!" A man who didn't look any older than a young teenager said as he came running in their direction.

As he took the time to breathe, he then stopped back up before telling them that they were actually missing three people for this exact quest and wondered if they could join them.

The trio stayed silent for a few seconds when Clad decided to ask the question everyone was thinking out loud.

"Excuse me for being rude here, but..."

"How old are you?"

The man was slightly annoyed by the question but told them that he was 30 and was a half-gnome, which is why he's usually shorter than the average human adult.

"Oh, sorry then," Clad replied as they decided to follow the short man towards his adventuring squad.

The three walked by him as they met his squad and were surprised, as most of them seemed like experienced pros that are used to those types of work, when one of them suddenly spoke to the half-gnome man.

"So these are the guys that you took in to go with us?" The man commented.

"Yes."

"What classes are they?"

"Tank, Swordsman, Warrior."

"..."

The man stayed silent as he looked at the three of them, judging them one by one in his head based on their appearances.

"I know I'm the one who asked Matias to take whoever, but..."

"They don't look very strong..."

Sigh...

"The tall girl seems to have a bit of a backbone to her..."

"So she must be the tank."

"The dark-skinned guy doesn't have a sword, so I'm guessing he's the warrior but doesn't use weapons..."

"But what about him?"

"He has to be the swordsman, but..."

"He doesn't have a sword...?" The heavily armored man thought when his eyes made contact with Clad, overwhelming him with a white energy and shaking him a little.

!?

"What the..."

"In my many years of adventuring, anyone I've met with such an aura..."

"was an expert adventurer!" The man thought as he stated that his name was Jolio, then asked Clad about the fact that he didn't have a sword on him even though he was registered as a swordsman.

Clad simply replied that he could make a weapon out of wood during the dungeon, sharp enough to cut through monsters, which Jill vouched for, as she told them that he may not look like it, but he has a lot of experience killing monsters.

"I see..."

"Then everyone, let's not waste time and go!"
