Chapter 176 - Odin’s Eyes and the Battle of Ice and Hell

📖 Scene — Odin's Eyes and the Battle of Ice and Hell

Lilith and Medusa watched the little girl as she played happily with the raven, laughing as though she had forgotten the entire world around her. She gently toyed with his small wings, while the raven stood in her hands with strange resignation, unable even to escape.

Lilith and Medusa glanced at one another…

And that silent conflict between them continued. Their looks alone were enough to ignite an entire war.

But far away from the demonic continent…

In Asgard.

Odin sat calmly in thought, a faint smile resting on his face, showing his satisfaction with how events were unfolding.

He had realized just how easy it was to infiltrate the circle of the high demons.

After all, all he had done… was send a few ravens to the continent of Mira to observe what was happening there and gather information about Medusa's poison and how to counter it.

But one of those ravens had flown too close to Medusa's cave…

And Odin had never expected that the raven would end up in the hands of her little daughter—or that she would grow attached to it in such a way.

Yet instead of being annoyed—

He was pleased.

Very pleased.

Because now he possessed an eye inside Medusa's very cave… and within the circle of the high demons themselves.

A cold smile appeared on Odin's face as he murmured:

"Sometimes… the best plans are the ones born by accident."

Time passed quickly in Asgard…

Until the day Loki finally returned after a long journey.

The moment the ravens set him down upon the lands of Asgard, he immediately sensed something strange.

Something unnatural.

His expression changed instantly. He cloaked his body in energy and vanished from sight, then cautiously began sneaking through Asgard.

But—

Before he could even enter the village…

He felt a terrifying cold crawling toward his body.

He looked down quickly—

Only to discover that the ground beneath him had completely frozen over, and ice was rapidly spreading toward his feet.

Loki immediately waved his hand, unleashing a terrifying burst of energy that shattered the ice around him. He quickly leaped backward while spreading his own power through the area and shouted angrily:

"What is going on here, Skadi?! Why are you trying to freeze me?!"

The moment he said that—

Skadi stepped out from behind one of the trees, with Hades beside her.

Loki looked at them both with clear irritation and shouted:

"What have you two done now?! And why are you attacking me?!"

But neither of them answered.

Instead, Skadi raised her hand toward the sky, and dozens of massive ice spears instantly formed above them before hurtling toward Loki at incredible speed.

Loki easily dodged the spears, weaving between the attacks swiftly as he tried to shout again:

"Can one of you at least explai—"

But Hades gave him no chance.

He vanished suddenly—

Then appeared directly behind Loki, black hellfire energy gathered in his hand, and struck without hesitation.

At the last moment, Loki finally became serious.

He grabbed one of the ice spears Skadi had launched at him and used it as a weapon to block Hades' attack.

He knew very well how dangerous it was to come into direct contact with Hades' hell energy.

And he successfully forced Hades to retreat slightly to avoid colliding with the ice spear.

Loki landed on the ground, breathing somewhat heavily, then looked warily at Hades and Skadi, who had surrounded him flawlessly from both sides.

He sighed in frustration, then said:

"If neither of you wants to talk…"

Suddenly—

His voice shifted into something dark and terrifying.

And slowly he declared:

"Then… I'll force you to."

The instant those words left his mouth, his eyes turned completely black. The aura surrounding him transformed as a strange and frightening energy spread across the area.

Hades and Skadi immediately sensed the danger.

So they unleashed their own powers without hesitation.

Hades' eyes darkened as hell energy exploded around him, spreading suffocating darkness throughout the region.

As for Skadi—

Her eyes became an icy blue, while frost and snow began covering both the ground and the sky around them.

And at that moment…

Odin was watching everything from afar.

He saw the terrifying whirlpools of energy rising near the edges of the village.

His eyes widened slightly, and he immediately realized:

Skadi and Hades… were the cause.

Odin exhaled slowly, then vanished instantly from his location, teleporting directly to the battlefield before the clash could turn into a true catastrophe.

At the same time, most of the rulers within Asgard had sensed the terrifying energies spreading near the village, so they moved quickly to discover what was happening—and who had dared unleash such power within Asgard's territory.

But Odin arrived first.

He appeared directly in the sky, his eyes glowing with terrifying authority, before releasing his own energy outward.

Within moments—

The heavens were swallowed by thick black clouds.

And before anyone could comprehend what was happening, the weather across the island changed completely.

Only moments ago…

The sun had been shining.

But now—

Storms and hurricanes erupted across the island, violent winds roaring through every corner while lightning spread across the sky as though threatening anyone who dared move.

The scene resembled nature itself descending into fury.

Then Odin's voice thundered across the battlefield, carrying the overwhelming authority of a ruler:

"That is enough!"

The earth shook beneath their feet.

Then he continued in a voice that allowed no refusal:

"This is my command… Odin, ruler of Asgard."

The moment Hades heard that, he immediately withdrew his hell energy and stepped back with an irritated scowl.

Skadi did the same, though she bowed her head slightly out of respect for Odin.

As for Loki—

He let out a breath of relief and looked at his wife and mother-in-law in annoyance, for he had been moments away from taking the fight truly seriously.

Then he quickly raised his hand, pulling out the legendary flower and the ancient sword in his possession as he declared excitedly:

"I did exactly what you accused me of doing it for! Look—here is the legendary flower… and this ancient sword!"

Odin looked toward the two treasures in Loki's hands, then nodded calmly.

He merely waved his hand—

And a powerful wind swept the treasures effortlessly from Loki's grasp, transporting them directly into Odin's hand.

Loki's eyes widened briefly, but he quickly frowned before pointing angrily toward Hades and Skadi.

"They attacked me for no reason! I tried to talk to them and figure out what mistake I made, but they kept attacking me! I demand justice, my ruler!"

Hades looked at Loki with immense irritation, completely unconcerned by the violent winds surrounding them, and replied coldly:

"You fool… this is your own doing."

Then he continued angrily:

"How dare you leave Asgard without informing either me or your wife of anything?"

Skadi nodded, her eyes filled with resentment, then added:

"Lord Odin told us everything… and even Uncle Poseidon told us as well."

She stepped closer and continued, pain clearly evident in her voice:

"They said you didn't care about us at all, and that you only wanted to leave Asgard quickly without thinking about anyone… you didn't even leave a single word behind, as though we meant nothing to you."

Her tone sharpened further as she added:

"You even asked Lord Odin to keep it secret and not tell us anything!"

Then she glared at him openly with anger.

"You're a heartless idiot… unworthy of my concern."

Loki froze in place.

His eyes widened in complete disbelief.

First he looked at Skadi…

Then at Hades…

And finally he slowly lifted his gaze toward Odin, who stood amidst the storms and lightning like a ruler commanding the world itself.

With genuine confusion, Loki asked:

"What are they talking about… Lord Odin?"
