Chapter 223 - Wrath

Thor left the chamber of the Three Seers, walking with calm, measured steps while lost deep in thought.

The same question echoed through his mind again and again.

What should he do to deal with that dragon?

Should he face it alone?

Or should he gather the other Rulers and ask for their help?

He kept replaying the words of the Three Seers.

They had made one thing perfectly clear.

That dragon was no ordinary dragon.

It was...

The son of the Dragon King.

Thor let out a slow sigh as his uncertainty grew.

If he killed the dragon, he might turn the entire Dragon Race into enemies of Asgard, igniting a war that could have been avoided.

But if he merely intimidated it and forced it to leave...

Asgard might appear weak in the eyes of the other races.

And if that happened, more outsiders would inevitably try to discover its location—or even violate its borders.

Thor frowned as he weighed every possibility.

Yet none of the choices satisfied him.

While still immersed in his thoughts...

He heard someone calling his name.

It was Heimdall.

Thor snapped out of his thoughts and looked around in surprise.

Only then did he realize that he had already reached the outskirts of the city.

He shook his head with a self-mocking smile.

He had been so absorbed in thought that he hadn't even noticed how far he had walked.

He raised his eyes toward Heimdall—

The son of his elder brother, Apollo, and Hela.

A calm smile appeared on Thor's face as he approached him.

Without hesitation, he casually wrapped an arm around Heimdall's neck and laughed.

"It seems I'll be relying on the Rulers this time."

"I want to hear their opinions before making my decision."

Then he looked at him curiously and added,

"But..."

"What brought Asgard's Eyes down from his beloved tower?"

"Has something happened?"

Heimdall gently removed Thor's arm from around his neck and smiled faintly.

"No."

"Something minor happened."

"I'll tell you about it later."

His expression then turned serious.

"But more importantly..."

"Go quickly and stop Sol and Volund."

"They're spreading rumors about you... and your wife."

Thor froze where he stood.

His eyes widened in astonishment.

But within an instant, that surprise transformed into unmistakable anger.

He spoke in a low voice filled with irritation.

"And what exactly have they been saying... about me and my wife?"

Heimdall calmly shook his head.

"I don't know."

"All I heard was Sol saying that he knows why your wife left Asgard after giving birth to your son."

Silence hung between them for several moments.

Thor slowly closed his eyes and drew a deep breath, trying to suppress his anger.

Then he spoke in an unusually calm voice.

"I see..."

"If they're spreading rumors..."

He opened his eyes again.

A faint smile appeared on his face as he continued,

"Then they should share those rumors with me as well."

He then looked seriously at Heimdall.

"Go and inform all the Rulers."

"This is important."

"I want every one of them in the Council Hall."

"We need to hold a meeting immediately."

With those words, he turned and began walking away at a rapid pace.

But after only a few steps, he stopped.

Looking back at Heimdall, he said,

"And leave Sol and Volund to me."

"I'll deal with them personally."

The moment those words left his lips...

He vanished from Heimdall's sight in a flash.

Heimdall watched the place where Thor had disappeared.

Then he quietly shook his head and sighed.

He wasn't surprised that Thor hadn't asked where Sol and Volund were.

He knew them both too well.

Volund never left his workshop unless something truly important demanded it.

And if he happened to be with Sol...

Then there was no doubt that Sol had gone to visit him—not the other way around.

A faint smile crossed Heimdall's face.

He lifted his head toward the sky and silently prayed that his brother would be all right after facing Thor's anger.

For he knew perfectly well...

Thor might appear calm at first.

But when it came to his family...

His anger was something no one wished to face.

A few moments later...

Heimdall turned and sped through the streets of Asgard, carrying out Thor's orders and gathering the Rulers in the Council Hall, preparing for the meeting that might determine the kingdom's future in the days to come.
