The Emperor of Mankind could not escape the double attack.
The mysterious figure's attack came at him from the front, while Forn's slashing strike approached him from behind.
The Emperor realized that dodging would not be enough this time.
So he decided to confront them head-on.
Flames quickly ignited in his left hand, gathering a powerful fiery energy around it.
Then he used it to face the mysterious figure's wave of darkness.
At the same time...
A red sword appeared in his right hand. He gripped it tightly, then raised it to block Forn's slashing strike.
The energies clashed, and the sky shook from the intensity of the collision.
But...
While the Emperor was fending off the two attacks, he caught sight of something in the sky.
Something he never expected to see.
The Holy Spear stolen from him long ago.
Which had, unbeknownst to him, become Odin's spear...
Gungnir.
The spear was with the six-winged horse ridden by the mysterious figure.
The Emperor's eyes immediately widened.
"The Holy Spear...?!"
He knew this spear very well.
True, its shape had changed after being exposed to Odin's heavenly power, and it had gained a consciousness.
But the Emperor recognized it the moment he saw it.
There was no room for mistake.
It was the Holy Spear.
His very own.
And before the Emperor could think about it or do anything...
Forn appeared from behind him and the mysterious figure from the front.
They attacked him at the exact same moment.
The Emperor's expression changed.
But at the last moment...
He vanished from his spot.
And in a single instant, he appeared above them in the sky.
He raised his hand, then shouted forcefully:
"Destructive Meteor!"
As soon as he said that...
A massive fireball exploded from his palm. It was intensely red and oddly shaped, so huge it was the size of half an island.
The fireball hurtled toward Forn and the mysterious figure at a terrifying speed, and the sky around it ignited from its intense heat.
The power it carried was terrifying.
But before the mysterious figure could do anything...
Forn raised her sword high.
She focused her entire golden aura into the sword.
The aura grew denser and stronger, then she gripped the sword with both hands and swung it upward with tremendous force.
Suddenly...
A golden slashing energy appeared in the sky.
It was massive and expansive, as if it had cleft the sky itself.
Forn shouted:
"Sky Cleave!"
The golden strike shot forward at tremendous speed.
And in the next moment...
It reached the fiery meteor.
Voooom!
The golden slashing energy collided with the giant red meteor.
And the slashing strike did not stop or fade.
Instead, it cleaved the meteor right down the middle.
The massive meteor split into two halves easily, and Forn's golden strike passed through it as if it wasn't even there.
But it didn't end there.
The impact continued along the same trajectory after the meteor split.
Heading directly toward the Emperor of Mankind.
The Emperor's eyes widened.
For the strike still carried its full power.
It had not stopped after cutting through his attack.
Rather, it was now approaching him at a tremendous speed...
And he had to act before it reached him.
